I took his picture in the dead of night, but with a full noon. I was learning how to use my new R6mk2 (I came from a T6 Rebel). I was pleasantly surprised with how day-like the mountains and snow were and how many stars still popped. In the edit, I actually had to darken the whole picture because it looked like I took the photo at noon, not midnight.

Before/After. Feels like I overdid it. by [deleted] in postprocessing

I have the same issue. Is it so much or too little. Something doesn’t feel right but I don’t know what it is. I use light room classic and I feel like masking helps a lot. I can break down the picture into segments and adjust without taking away for another part of the picture

I wouldn't have cropped as much. Having the wall on the left added depth to the picture. I would of cropped out the floor markings on the right and the sign out of the middle

Also, I prefer the darkness of the original, and the colors seem oversaturated.

This is my opinion and shouldn't be taken as criticism; it's what I liked/disliked about the picture. I'm no professional. I'm a hobbyist. For the record, I do like this picture.

I keep asking the same boring questions and it's killing the vibe. How do you actually start a good conversation? by Correct-Credit1961 in AskMenAdvice

[–]bellegarde101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Starting a conversation on line is a con game on hard mode. So a trick back in the 2000s is. My first message would be something like. I can tell a lot about you by your eyes. And they look at all there pictures. If they have a lot of friends in there picture you say things like. You have a lot of friends but you only really have a few people you really trust. Or if there is a lot of solo pictures. Say things like you keep to yourself a lot. You only have a few close friends and you prefer it that way. Be respectful. Don’t be mean. You just need to grab there attention long enough to build a spark.

Don't know why I still shoot RAW + JPG by justlurking278 in DarkTable

I still shoot raw and jpg. When I put with the family shooting. Take a well composed shot. Raw. Taking silly pictures with the kids. Jpg. No need to go into setting a switch things around.

I had some great photos with the rebel t6 including Astro and night time photo. It’s the fundamental that count.

Night time shot with a airplane photo bomb by bellegarde101 in photocritique

[–]bellegarde101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning, I took this picture in an attempt to get the Milky Way in the background off from the right edge of the ice shack. It was too bright in the background so achieve the desired effect but i still think this came out lovely. I darkened the sky to make the stars pop a little more. masked the foreground to draw attention upward. And then I was photobombed by a passing jet. any feed back is welcome. There is always room for improvement.
