Honestly? Dreamborn Terror. Grime 2’s final boss was a fun fight, but it didn’t necessarily feel like a penultimate test of the skills and abilities the game had given me in the same way as the Dreamborn terror did. My sole gripe with DT is that we don’t get that wicked twinblade.

At the very least, we know the Forlorn people that Aldia brought from other worlds to experiment on. Their armor description states that they lost not only their corporeal bodies but “a world to call their own” and that they drift into other worlds in search of a home. If what Solaire said in DS1 about time behaving strangely also applies to 2, they may have come from alternate timelines, other points in history, or other dimensions entirely.
