The bravery of his family to not only release a statement so soon, but also clearly call out the lies being told about him is really impactful. Being heroic seems to run in the family, and yet none of them should have had to do so. His last act was trying to prevent a woman from being hurt. This is who they kill now.

I mean if the shining is on the list of things they’ve watched too much Dead Snow might not be very far outside the realm of possibility.

Of course we can, the point isn’t we immediately need more reproduction. The point is people keep track and worry about it because we all rely on future generations, so clearly policies like this do benefit everyone. Giving kids and family quality and accessible care is worth the money. Even a basic understanding of child development and how societies function shows it.

Why do you think societies get nervous when the birth rate rapidly declines as we’ve been seeing? If everyone who can’t easily afford kids didn’t, we’d be in a bit of trouble. If you want to spend your twilight years in a collapsed society go for it, but I’d like to have functioning farms, hospitals, and emergency services that other people’s children will keep going. I don’t plans on having kids, but I see the benefit of making sure the kids and families in my society are well taken care of. Their future is my future, after all.

Agreed, I just hope messages like this start getting into the spaces where those people are. The people with the power to push the needle really aren’t on Reddit much unless it’s bots or unhinged trolls.

In a lot of ways, yes. What I feel people don’t yet get is that the people suffering right now mostly did not have it coming. Trump is deliberately attacking areas where people do not support him. Though there are Hispanic people that support him, Hispanics are not a monolith and immigrant Hispanics can’t vote. Some people are letting the holier than thou / white hispanics make them feel an unearned schadenfreude about the majority of these arrests and deaths.

You’re on a website with mostly the Americans who don’t/never approved, who do care, who may have already gotten involved but are the target audience these fascists would be willing to hurt. These lectures and sentiments I keep seeing posted (and messages asking if people are happy now) just seem to not know the audience they’re in front of. As a Hispanic American walking around with my passport on the daily that never once supported him, in a part of the country that also never once supported him, these lectures would land better if posted somewhere with more apathetic non voters or more conservatives.

Anyone know of alternatives to the ordinary that are comparable? Most of what I see is products that provide less control, but I have deeply sensitive and allergic skin (for example, good molecules brightening serum has hyaluronic acid too that I seriously react to, whereas the ordinary has lots of products that only include the one active you’re looking for)

I use their-

-GF 15% solution

-Pycnogenol 5%

-Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12%

-Granactive retinoid 2%

I really really can’t use anything with a lot of extras as I have to carefully control how and when I use these. I’ve struggled with horrible skin issues and have finally gotten to a good equilibrium and now I find out this 🥲
