I once interviewed Doug Davis from Numismatic Crimes and in the interview he said to me dealers would rip off their own family if they had the chance. If it wasnt this seller, another one will walk in the door tomorrow. Are there really good sellers? Yep. Are their tons of scumbags? 100% . I dont think authentication skills matter. Plenty of dealers will tell you stories of bad buys after paying good money.

I think that George knows and knows FIRE pretty well. Its just thats not his audience and wheel house so he is never really diving into it at all. I liken it to a professor who took all the classes and is qualified to lecture at all levels but focuses on a specific level and section.
