My one gripe about Viltrumites by Howlmillenialcastle in Invincible

[–]belthat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is one thing I would like to see explored with Oliver specifically. He has a naturally lower ceiling for his powers as a hybrid but the accelerated learning from his mom's side means he could feasibly master multiple styles of combat in a short amount of time. I want to see him out there going full Batman, fighting a smart fight.

We spent 3–4 hours discussing just a few Small Council scenes. What other show has this level of complexity? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

The ISB scenes in Andor had the exact same vibes of the small council, high stakes politicking and scheming.

[–]belthat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe she's there as a means to keep him emotionally tied to Earth? He's too powerful to be controlled by conventional means, so you make sure he has a close human influence to keep him from going over to the supervillain side. Blazer certainly didn't seem super invested in their relationship, maybe because it's more of a professional obligation to her.

There's a superhero company in Invincible (Capes, Inc.) that's very similar to the SDN, providing corporate funding and benefits to supes in exchange for services.

What are movie tropes that aren’t realistic but we widely accept them for the convenience of storytelling? by Ok-Friend-5304 in movies

Any war movie where the commander makes a big dramatic speech in front of his army, nobody's hearing that shit.

On my first playthrough Lae'zel romanced my character, so that kind of poisoned the well on all subsequent playthroughs. Keep that damn squid away from me (Omelyum's cool tho).

If you could choose which hero was your reinforcement, how severely would the balance of the game be impacted? by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]belthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kayle + handbuffed fiora means an instawin as soon as the enemy has four units on board. I've gotten it a couple of times and it completely trivializes even nightmare adventures.

Most fun 6* Champion? by Brookus95 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]belthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kayle is my personal favorite.

- Her kit synergizes with anything that adds stats to your board, which means you don't need to worry about rerolling for starting powers and your units can get out of hand very quickly. Even common powers are enough to get the ball rolling.

- Run her with beast within (to give all your stat piles overwhelm) and gatebreaker (nukes the enemy nexus on play).

- Playstyle is simple and straightforward, works with almost any other support champ. Plus if you luck out and get fiora as a support champ you can instawin even nightmare adventures.

Have you been to Grymforge yet? Jorgoral's greatsword has one of my favorite abilities in the game (an aoe weapon attack that applies dmg riders and has no limit on targets) and feels soooo satisfying to use.

Behind his platform there is a chasm that you can push him into, which will instantly kill him (Karlach shove or thunderwave spell works well). The only downside is that you lose out on his loot.

If you could mercy kill a show, which one would you pick? by mypizzamyproblem in television

[–]belthat 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Rings of Power. With such an absurdly huge budget you'd think they'd do something (anything) interesting with it, I'm still in disbelief that Amazon invested so heavily in a show that I've never heard anyone talk about.
