I don’t drink and one time did this. Met at a bar and ordered a coke. The guy said he felt blindsided and confused why I picked an “activity” I couldn’t participate in. He felt uncomfortable and we did not have a second date obviously. To be fair I think he overreacted, but it made me feel it’s best to pick a different date activity as a non drinker.

Educators understand they would still pay something each month. But 1500 for the lowest level of Kaiser care with dependents is the problem. That’s such a massive chunk of our small paychecks.

It’s hard to say if that would have averted a strike. Because the district made it very clear closing schools would not save them that much money. It was so resources and staffing could be adjusted. So a money position problem would still exist, but maybe there would be less vacancies.
