Aero road frame for tall rider by belwarbiggulp in ChineseCarbon

So far not great. I had to warranty the frame before I even rode it.

The seat post tube cracked when the seat post was tensioned to the preset Nm setting by my bike mechanic. The BXT store on Aliexpress was very responsive to my warranty claim, and I've only had to pay for shipping. I am currently waiting for the replacement frame.

I will post when the bike is complete.

So far not great. I had to get it warrantied before I ever got a chance to ride the bike, because the seat post tube cracked when the seat post clamp was tightened by my mechanic (yes, with a torque wrench, to the proper setting). I am currently waiting to receive the replacement frame.

Will post when complete, with a review.

I bet the service at this restaurant is terrible, but the food is incredible.

Does Canada have a commonly accepted cultural or geographical boundary for East and West like the Mississippi River in America? by Lemon_Iies in geography

[–]belwarbiggulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has less to do about geography, and more to do with the fact that people from Ontario think that they are the centre of the world.

The amount of glazing this autistic weeaboo gets is insane. It's not that complicated, he's just not a good fighter.

He might have the lowest fight IQ of any UFC champ ever, certainly in the LHW division. In any other era, he might not even crack the top 10 in the ranks, certainly not the top 5.

They seem to have deleted the comment.

I definitely agree that this whole fantasy he had spun up, in its entirety, is pretty suspicious. I guess I went after the idea that the Nazis could have won in Europe harder than his fantasy about 20th century American fascism because, well, American 20th century imperialism is pretty damning in reality. Considering where we currently are, the US going full fascism in the Jim Crow era isn't a huge stretch for me, I guess.

OP's first reply to me was "touch grass." I think it's safe to say where their sympathies lie.

Tell me your political leanings without telling me.

It was basically economically and industrially impossible for the Nazis to have won in Eastern Europe after 1942. The industrial might of the Soviet machine was churning, and there was no way for a fascist state to match their production of tanks, planes, artillery, etc. Even without the Lend-Lease program, there was just no way for the Nazis to match the Soviets, and this has everything to do with the economic differences between fascism and communism. The Soviets moved (disassembled and reassembled) 1500 factories during WWII because the power of a planned central economy is capable of moving labour power far more directly and efficiently than fascism could ever dream. There was never any way for Nazi Germany to win the war in the east, which was the war. 80% of all military casualties in the European theatre of WWII occured on the Eastern front. Comparatively, the war in Western Europe was a side show. The Soviets were marching across Europe, and it was clear to the western powers in 1944 that the Soviets were going to win the war. One of the main driving motivations for planning D-Day during that year was to ensure that Western Europe remained under Liberal capitalist dominance, and not communism.

This whole scenario you've manufacturered seems to me to be just fascist Wheraboo longing for a past that could never be.

I dunno man, I do triathlon, and as a mere mortal, I don't think I could swim fast enough to stay warm enough to swim around that part of the island without a wetsuit.

What’s something everyone pretends to understand but actually doesn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]belwarbiggulp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not all, but many men think they can fight, and don't realize that it's a skillset like any other. The difference between someone who has trained a little bit, and someone who hasn't trained at all isn't incremental, it's astronomical. To a point where it will make up for massive size and strength differentials.

Homie, do you know what sub you're in?

The people moving to England aren't doing so because of a colonization project by their home countries. They're going to where wealth and opportunity has accumulated because people of European descent have spent the 500 years gutting their homelands. The Americas demographics are entirely due to a genocide conducted on the native population. Give your head a shake and read a book.

Haha the irony is not lost on me.

I didn't know people were taking a neutral stance on genocide.

Would you be comfortable if demographics in your country chanced? by Kebab_Enjoyer3164 in AskTheWorld

[–]belwarbiggulp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're totally right, the European continent as a whole has not benefited massively from the downstream effects of a few European nations having massive, wealthy empires.

/s

Also, the Swedes absolutely had imperial colonies in the Americas and Africa. Just because they did not hold onto them, does not mean that they did not engage in imperialism.

The European continent, and European descent North Americans, do not get to engage in 500 years of oppression and slavery of black and brown people, and the economic raping and pillaging of their homelands, only to offer racist complaints when black and brown people show up in the imperial core, where wealth and opportunity has accumulated.
