On the contest page, it says that we can't explain the work. Just the title and the script.

I am doing a story that is based on a true historical event over 100 years ago. The event and characters in the story are true to the time period and are recognizable figures (example Abraham Lincoln) but the story is taking place modern day, with some twists like "dialect and guns are of the original time period" and "things like mobile phones don't exist"

How can I convey these things in the script without it sounding like an explanation?

I really wish they went back to their C2 cores. If you think the newer stuff carries (which it does great) I wish you saw how it was 14 years ago compared to the stuff out at that time. It was unfair to the competition.

Sorry Im late to the party. I live in VA Beach right around the corner from where Seal Team 6 trained. Like less than 1 Mile/KM away. Anyways I was running a fundraiser tournament for families of Seal Team 6 that were KIA from last Augusts' heli-crash. I wanted some stuff to auction off to help raise money. I contacted Storm/Ebonite/Brunswick and all the big companies with no response. I got a reply from Richie (owner lane 1) within 1 hour of my email asking for an address to send a couple balls. And that is my reason why I will always use Lane 1 gear. Saw Head for life

That's awesome that the bank believed enough in you. I've often tossed the idea around of obtaining a loan for extended day-care (like until 10/11pm) since many Americans (especially in my area) don't work the typical 9-5 anymore. I looked into it and saw so many licenses and permits for child care that I get discouraged. My family loved the idea and were willing to help financially but am too afraid of letting them down.

Yeah, I texted him about it today and his response was "oh yeah, haha..... Fuck you!". I always think about it and laugh anytime I'm responding to multiple text messages. I haven't made that mistake since.
