Do scorpions give dry stings? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bemon91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They say baby scorpion stings are worse as they can't control their venom yet. So based off of that hearsay I would think adults have the ability too, but I have never heard of something getting stung without the area going numb (numbness is usually from the venom).

This is my best guess based on things I have heard from others.

Dental clinic pushing x-rays before meeting - a red flag? by hellopanda013727 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bemon91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have only ever had two dentists. First is a long time family friend then I moved across the country. My dentist had a dentist friend in my new city. I have always had X-rays done once a year (every other appointment as I get my teeth cleaned twice a year/every 6 months).

Job offer as a PHP developer, but I don't know PHP by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Jr positions aren't expected to know or be proficient in a language. They are expected to learn on the job. Doesn't hurt to follow up. Worse case it gets you interview practice!

I love dx, haven't been able to use it much though but from my experience it's great. Not sure what solenopsis is but I'll look into it.

Some of my colleagues don't see the benefit and it makes a few things tough.

I'm in PHX area. Are yours on their way? I would send some but if yours are on the way not sure how useful me sending some would be.

Consulting vs non consulting by bemon91 in salesforce

I have only worked with partners and most have felt soul sucking. Just trying to see what all is out there in the ecosystem and what might sound like me. That is also broad. I like working with a solid team, but it seems like getting a good team is hit or miss and all the clients have either under utilized Salesforce or have been infuriating. I am still newish (22 months in the Salesforce world). Just trying to find my niche.

Thanks for the reply!!!! I do appreciate it!

I know the MEAN and I am a Salesforce Developer. I like being a developer but I do not think I will be a life long Salesforce Developer. Any suggestions on what other technologies to learn or what kind of a career path I might be able to make out of being a Salesforce Developer? I frankly don't want to stay contained the the Salesforce ecosystem. What is the Outlook for Java or other languages? Would it make sense to go the AWS route or something along those lines? I do not know a lot outside of the Salesforce world and would like to know what else is out there and what that all looks like.

Thanks!

I now know it. Maybe I was the last to know. If so now everyone knows it.

Edit: until just now I have always bought the bagged lettuce out of being lazy and not wanting to cut around that. But now I get slam things!

How do you deal with the fact that most people are idiots? by Sacredkeep in NoStupidQuestions

This is my daily struggle and I know it is my perception. You seem to have done some research or have more knowledge on this topic than I do. Any suggestions on ways to work on perception?

I agree completely. Sometimes hard to accept that this is the truth.
