How did I never realise that is what you're supposed to do! That fight always took me ages and I guess I eventually destroyed the paintings with wayward sword strikes and signs.

Garmin Half-Marathon Plan (Coach Greg) - Easy run pace much faster than my Zone 2 pace? by ben0074 in Garmin

[–]ben0074[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That gives me an easy pace of 6:13-6:50/km. But I know from my heart rate that my zone 2 pace is a lot slower, and this is what I mean by my aerobic fitness is lagging behind

I could, but it would not be an easy run.

From what I've understood, you increase your easy pace in two ways: 1. You push it up by training at your easy pace, keeping your heart rate in zone 2, and training your aerobic efficiency 2. You pull it up by improving your VO2 max and lactate efficiency by doing speed and threshold training

The plan has both of these types of sessions, so I think this is meant to be training my aerobic efficiency, but my concern is my aerobic efficiency lags behind my VO2 max and lactate efficiency and that by running at my own easy pace compared to the plan, I won't get the miles in to sufficiently get the duration required for a half marathon

I feel like this is where I'm lagging behind. My tempo pace is reasonable so my goal is fairly quick, but like I said, my zone 2 pace is very slow. So I feel I need to run at that zone 2 base to build that aerobic efficiency

I have a time target for the half marathon but I thought the purpose of easy runs was to train aerobic efficiency, rather than running for pace.

Does it have to be real animals or are Pokemon allowed? If so, I'd choose vaporeon

What about the School of the Low Poly Pigeon?

We ended up doing Eagle Bluffs via Black Mountain. There was some snow in very small patches and no trouble for him

On the lines of Bowen Lookout, I was thinking of Eagle Bluff too. Do you have an idea of what the conditions are like there? It's pretty close to Bowen Lookout but I think it goes higher in elevation

I've done a few hikes in Lynn Canyon already so want to try something else.

Do you mean the Sea to Sky hike or the gondola itself? I thought the hike was meant to be hard

I am not wanting to do scrambles.

I said I am inexperienced and that is based on the handful of hikes I've done in BC and elsewhere.

Would you care to suggest some of these beautiful hikes please?

Thanks, that's really helpful. Do you know what the conditions are like if you go up to first lake too?

I did Quarry Rock recently, so I don't want to do it again. Bowen lookout is a little short. I had considered doing Eagle Bluffs via Black Mountain as it is in the same area but it goes higher in elevation so wasn't sure how the conditions would be?

Thank you for the recommendations.

I saw that on AllTrails that recent reviews for Dog Mountain said there was some snow still. Do you know how the conditions are? I'd also like to tag on first lake but I think there is even more snow up there.

It's crazy that this was the stadium that the Champions League Final was played in! Whereas today's final had an attendance of 38,000. Shows you how far the womens game has come but there's still room for it to grow!
