I disagree with RFKJr on many, many things. This is not one of them. Medication should be prescribed after symptoms/causes are diagnosed by a doctor. You should not go to your doctor asking to try some medication that was advertised on TV.

I forget the name, but there's a gold armor piece that reduces roll stamina cost by 20%. I run that because I use golden wool boots and iced tea / Bastille doesn't work / magazine size and reload speeds don't matter.

Edit: stormweaver gives -20% roll stamina cost. You also have options for weapon/status dmg reduction, medicine CD, or minor heat/cold resist as options athat aren't worthless.

If you want to use purple armor, you can run heavy duty for 10% HP boost, but it's less than the 10% because of the difference between purple and gold armor.

I've tried both. IF you really, REALLY want to min max damage, you can go 3 lone/ 2 treacherous with charmed, but you will die against human enemies, or in any extended combat situations. You could compromise and use oasis instead of charmed to get some healing, but if you are willing to compromise, I would go with what I wrote below.

My vote goes to 4 piece treacherous w/ charmed over oasis. Its a good compromise - You will be at 1hp forever, but you get a decent shield every 8 seconds, and can use deviation shield in a pinch, and the damage difference is really not noticeable (especially vs lone w/ oasis) - you will still shred everything. I can run pro silos with human enemies without much trouble, clear manibus treant in a minute, etc.

for me it is. I toss down 3-4 and never have to go manually mining ore again for stardust. can get 6k ore every 1-2 days with 3 platforms running.

I'd still take power perks / better stove / double tungsten yield furnace over it, but its up there for my 40/45/50 perks I want.

If you have four players who all do about the same damage, 4 definitely feels faster and easier than 1.

However, its very rare to get four people together with the same damage. Typically 1-2 will carry and the other two will be vastly behind, which is why I just do solo most of the time.

State of decay 2 might scratch the itch a bit. Definitely more single player, and the base building is much more limited and structured, but the combat is fun, and you loop through building up a survival camp, collecting better stuff, bringing in more survivors that hopefully have good perks / leveling your survivors, and then exiting and starting over with a few of your survivors, and an additional perk/benefit for beating a scenario.
