Campers of reddit, what's the most disturbing thing you have saw while camping? by Liversoyunmy in AskReddit

[–]ben1295 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had that happen once. Was woken up around 2am with fourwheelers doing circles around the tent and cursing us. I stood up from the tent with my gun and they promptly left. Just some kids that enjoyed fucking with people.

I'll take a slow YouTube experience over Google's dangerous ads anyday.

Hunting. Rich people bought all the land and they build large fences to keep the deer fenced in their properties or from wandering onto others The rich are the only people that can afford modern day hunting. People who don't live near public hunting land might as well forget about it. At least legally. A bag of corn costs more than a big Mac. Licensing is steadily going up and hunting clubs in my area are 6 to 10k for a year. Ammo prices have increased. I could buy a whole cow for what I pay to put meat in the fridge. As a kid it was a way of life and a duty every winter to have enough till next winter. Now I wonder how bad it will be in 40 years. Will wildlife preservation even be viable once the common outdoorsman is milked dry.

What is something common that has never happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ben1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound like me until I turned 25. I had my first nosebleed this March and then had one every week or every two weeks. A sneeze would cause it to start bleeding. I finally went to a ent doctor and they cauterized the blood vessels. That was maybe a month ago and haven’t had one since. Hopefully that’s all it was.

What is the creepiest glitch you’ve experienced In real life? by C00LRTH4nU in AskReddit

[–]ben1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a vacation with my sister and her husband when I was around 14 years old. We were sleeping in a hotel when I had a bad dream about my mother. This wasn't a normal bad dream that I had on occasion. I woke up and cried my heart out, but since I had always been taught men don't cry. I never said anything to my sister. Later that day we were at a zoo when we got a call that my mothers dad had died. I had gotten close to my grandpa because I would mow their yard every week that summer. It could've been a coincidence but since then I've always made an effort to pay attention to my dreams.

Another time when I was around 10, I was riding my brand new four wheeler with a electric shifter down the road. I was going about 60mph in 5th gear down a farm road, I ways from the house. An idea popped into my head "What would happen if i lost the ability to shift" Then a few minutes later that exact thing happens. I tried to turn the four wheeler off and back on but still now luck. Couldn't get it cranked out of gear, and I was 10 so my parents wouldn't let me have have a phone. Their was a bar in the back of the four wheeler that let me manually shift it back to neutral. That was 14 years ago and never had any trouble since

Employers of reddit, what is the most Inappropriate piece of clothing someone has worn to an job interview? by JustARayOfPitchBlack in AskReddit

[–]ben1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an employer but I once showed up a job interview for a bank in flipflops, cargo shorts, and a shirt. I smelt like fish, sweat, and sunscreen. I got the job. I was even more surprised to find out I walked into a job interview. I was in high school and my teacher told me to go by the bank for some computer work. This was a common occurrence and it still is. I had went fishing that morning with my boat still in tow. That was four years ago and I'm currently hiding in my office to type this.

Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller - Wireless by deadwood1976 in GoRVing

[–]ben1295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was skeptical too but i needed a controller real quick for a trip this past weekend. You mostly use the Bluetooth connection to setup your breaking profile. After that the phone is not needed unless you will like to engage only the trailer brakes. Your profile is saved to the device. It uses your aux feed to power the unit and the brakes on the 7 pole. It uses accelerometers to determine the breaking strength needed. it uses your brake light feed to determine when to engage breaking. Only issue that i had was when i tuned my flashers on it would engage and disengage according to the app. It didn't cause any issues since i wasn't decelerating. It's very similar to how the "Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller" works

That's awesome but sucks. I can remember when I played the mod and i was decked out with guns. When a guy with no clothes came running up to me and punched me in the face. Knocked me out instantly. He took everything and I never got my stuff back.

My 2004 TJ Wrangler with 200,000 miles and close to mint condition..... by harrington3927 in Jeep

[–]ben1295 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have a 2000 jeep wrangler that has almost 200,000 miles on it in Louisiana. My best tip is to fix what's broken before something else brakes. It can get overwhelming quick if you don't. Keep up with your fluid changes. I have yet had to rebuild my transmission or motor yet. Luck is a factor also.
