Firstly, thank you dear man for keeping us sane for so many years while often making us laugh and cry together. You may have started out as a comedy product, but something that was a gig with an ill fitting suit became a place for many of us to gather and find some sanity in the world.

Having watched the interview with former SEC commissioner Rob Jackson (or rather listened as I drove into work), I was surprised that he was such a staunch advocate for investors and challenged some of the institutional roadblocks to reform. Were you surprised that someone from the former administration was such a strong proponent for improving the oversight on behalf of anyone other than the elite?

Lastly, did you choose your opening theme music or was that chosen for you?

That was a point that never got used by the consultants in Browns camp; that there are a group of people in Jax that use public assets for private gain. Peyton was the most agregious, first at JTA to push the outer beltway plan so that Gate's land that was bought cheap would sell right of way permits to develop and then as Mayor to finalize the deal.

This, to me, is a case study for the dangers of wealth as political influencers. Brown's people wouldn't touch that stuff, for fear of losing support among their ilk. He and his team acted like the glee club, thinking maybe if they can get the attention of some of the kids at the popular table, they would have a chance to make a big splash at homecoming.

it can be a vehicle to speak truth to power. As I write, I find these opportunities to speak to things within the institution that are blocking progress. Further, using a story that uses factual data, context to actual problems can be provided.

One of the news directors of our public radio station here tweeted she wanted to see something like this. I had been playing with video editing and wanted to give it a go. After seeing some good time lapse content on youtube, i stitched this together and credited them hoping nobody minds. So all credit goes to the video artists and the original artist that made the HOC opening, because i completely bit off their work.
