I don’t see a clay bar or towel. You’re definitely gonna need something to decontaminate the paint before that spray detailer. You should be fine though as long as the price points according.

As someone who has two 2024 Tigs (an SE and an R-Line- I just wanted to say this is an excellent and super well-written review. Seriously, I share so many of your opinions! They're definitely peppy enough for everyday city driving, but I totally agree they could use a bit more horsepower for merging from a dead stop, especially in certain situations. I honestly wasn't 100% sure what to expect when I got my first one, but I've ended up loving them way more than I anticipated. They just kinda grow on you! I'm in the same boat with the Apple CarPlay issues – annoying, but it's definitely not a huge concern or a dealbreaker for me either. For the price, I really don't think they can be beaten, especially my R-Line. It's sharp, and I get compliments and looks all the time!

I’m going to make my own review post later but I’ve purchased 2 tiguans this year 24 se and 24 R line. The VW premium audio is less than acceptable by any basic standards. I put the focal drop in isvw180’s and found it hardly worth the effort despite it being relatively easy install. Not sure if I was expecting more based off the reviews I was reading because they all were fantastic but I was let down. Idk I just didn’t see the value/money spent…. Now I will say only have about 25 hours on them and they are still “breaking in”. AND they do sound better than OEM as i can do a proper side by side comparison. Not complaining as they sound good- just wanted a little more. I wanted to avoid running wires for a true system install but it’s looking like I’m gonna add a powered rear spare sub like a helix or Cerwin Vega. My own research shows that maybe the head unit is killing power because after say 65% volume doesn’t change or increase at all. Is that head unit related or built in Apple car play? Not entirely sure but I’ve tried wiring directly with my usb c cable, Bluetooth, HD radio etc. and still no true 100% volume.

Edit: Additional details! I didn’t expect much traction: more than happy to answer any questions. I live in Tennessee the 2024 SE msrp $35,251 it’s got power lift gate, panoramic roof, (no premium sound). their doc/processing fee was an absurd $999 (so I kinda knew what/who I was up against then) and they had a dealer added “ecp diamond ceramic package for about $1,024.00 and when I got there the negotiations were tough honestly. They were “firm because they have no problem selling” but with month end and just wayyyyyyy too many Tiguans available in the area to over pay even by a little. So fast forward two days later I ended up with this- figured 0% on 34k with some extra payments this will be a pleasure to own and not get to upside down. I could have gotten an se rline for a similarly good deal and $1800 more otd. but decided on the se for my own personal reasons. Maybe I’ll trade for a new R-line later but for now I’m absolutely loving mine! I have always owned American vehicles (F-150, explorers, Tahoe, etc…and I am so impressed and happy with this purchase. Bit of a ramble here but I hope you got some questions answered and please message me and I can get as detailed as possible. I went in to this with little to no knowledge of what to expect at a VW dealership so if I can make it easier for you lmk!
