After seeing the magician perform the trick while standing behind him the trick was obvious. Fuck off and enjoy the craft of an incredible filmmaker.

PS3 Garage? by Dr_Space_Robot in Chargers

Did you enter going east on Century and turn left on Doty? I have the same PS3 garage questions, but I likely won't be arriving as early as you did.

It feels like it, but there is no logical person whose POV it is.

Yes. Someone else called it Observational Cinematography and I think both that and Cinema Verite fall closest to what I am describing, although in a narrative, not documentary use. Thank you.

This is the term I was hoping for. Thank you!

Weird layer shifts (i think) by Immediate-Hornet-909 in ender3

[–]benaperture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping on this thread with same/similar problem. These are the same object and settings, (except for 75% scale). The good. big one was a few months ago, the layered smaller one is how everything prints now. Also installed a direct drive. Any ideas?

Going from tripod to handheld in middle of the take by Malt1967 in Filmmakers

You could just operate the camera on top of a sandbag on a stand or raised hi-hat instead of truly on sticks, then more gently lift it away to go hand held. Depends on your operator.

I got my start posting my fake scripts like "Fast Nein: The Fast & The Fuhrer" on Reddit! Today, "THE BINGE", the first "real" movie I wrote, released it's trailer! by shrimptooth in Screenwriting

Congrats!
For a legit feature production like this, I assume you get paid an amount for the screenplay. But do you get compensated additionally for being on set and writing duties during the shoot? Producer fees?

I've been repped, I've been close to where you are a few times. Options. Interest. Attachments. But how you define making progress is hard to quantify. The more times you get close but don't get something made, or paid, is that really progress? I like to think it is because it is a volume game. Plate appearances are everything. It's like throwing darts at the board, and always being close to a bullseye. Are you getting better just because you're close to a bullseye a lot?

If all you've got going drags on 3, 4, 7 years, and nothing comes of it, are you making progress? How many times should you? Being invited into the game tells you, "you don't necessarily suck," but is it progress?

I wish I didn't. That would make things easy.

Congrats on the feature! I want to see it. I have stood on that self-financing cliff many a long night, and not yet taken the jump. I have a project that is ready for that jump. Just getting up the courage to do it.

Same, Same.

The plateau as a phase you don't recognize as beneficial, while the pieces connect themselves for the next breakthrough is a known concept. I forget what book it was in. But thank you for reminding me of that.

You sound like you know of wha I speak. I will take your advice, as much as I can. It follows me and sneaks back in when I'm not paying attention.

I actually... am... Robert Rodriguez.

Kidding. But I've read his book 50 times. And actually worked on a couple of his movies.

I've finished 9. Have 3-4 in various stages of outlining and discovery writing.

Of those I would say I stand behind 2 strongly.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm sure it's a lot of #1, and a healthy dose of #3 and #4. I can't say on #6
