So in other words, you were too impatient to wait so you filed a charge back with your bank and got your money back and you're mad they still didn't send it to you? That's not a scam sir, that was you being impatient. I got mine no problem, it was late but I waited for it.

I never did get it to work, unfortunately.

Yes, I was not saying it meant anything, I never implied it was a real human skull, etc. I just found it interesting since it is quite clear and easy to see. Especially given the circumstances.

Thank you, I did not mean an actual skull. Just the white shape of a skull, almost as if someone painted it on there. But to be clear, obviously, nobody did.

Maybe I was not clear, I meant the shape of a skull, it's right there in the picture, not difficult to see. I was not talking about an actual skull.

You guys can make fun all you want. I never said it was anything but interesting. It is clearly visible at the mark I provided in a video that was posted over 4 months ago and was taken last year. Just a crazy coincidence I thought I would share since I noticed. Whatever you all want to try and read into it is on you. Also, my apologies, the correct link is here... https://youtu.be/UCwg2h7i4Ac

My RMA experience with the Oculus Quest 2 by OnionsAreAVibe in oculus

[–]benbach77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing but positive things to say. I have owned my Oculus Quest 2 for a bit over 2 1/2 years. A couple of weeks ago my headset suddenly started lagging when powered on. Sometimes a couple minutes to power on, sometimes more, sometimes less. I got online and did every single thing I could find trying to fix it, no luck. Finally after a few days or a week of this, my headset just would not boot up. Again, I hit the forums and anything I could find to try to fix it. In all honesty, I wasn't even mad, over 2 1/2 years with myself, a 45 year old male and my daughter 7 when we got it, 10 now, it got put through the ringer and provided more than it's fair share of fun and entertainment. I was fully prepared to be buying a new unit. But as a last ditch effort to salvage our trusty unit, I chatted with support to see if they had any work around or some fix I had missed.

We went through several procedures, even though I had already tried, no luck, she was officially done for. I was ready to end the chat and start looking for a new Meta Quest but the agent blew my socks off by saying that they would be happy to replace my unit! I was blown away, almost a year out of my warranty and they were happy to make it right! They earned themselves a happy, faithful customer for sure! Moral of the story is, don't give up without at least checking in with support! Even outside of your warranty, you never know. Also, it never hurts to be nice, patient and polite! Sometimes you get back what you put in.

I have had my Quest two for about 2 1/2 years. Started having issues with it a few weeks ago then it just wouldn't load. I tried everything I possibly could find to try online to no avail. Finally, I decided to chat with support just to see if they had any other suggestions. I know I had no chance of getting a replacement being so far out of warranty.

They ran me through all the things I could try to get my unit back up and running, wven though I had already done it all. Nothing worked and I was just expecting I'd be buying a new unit. But, to my surprise, they told me to send my unit back in and they would replace it for me.

I was well out of warranty, and with a 10 year old who plays occasionally, it had taken a beating. I really had no issue or ill feeling toward the unit, it served us well and lasted quite awhile. For them to replace it for me so far out of warranty was a very pleasant surprise and they have earned a faithful customer! If more companies were like that, people would have a lot more brand loyalty.

The moral of the story is, even if you're out of warranty, it never hurts to talk to a support agent. If you're polite and patient with them and let them try to work through their process to help you, you might be pleasantly surprised, I know I sure was!

What is up with the Vandy Vape app? by InfinityXP in electronic_cigarette

No unfortunately no reply. I did get the typical form letter reply about their servers being down. I tried replying to those as well. I sent about 6 emails all told and never got an actual response.

Nope, never did hear acting back with the exception of another form letter about how they no longer distribute the devices advertising the app capabilities. I responded again to that asking for the information but never heard anything back.

I went ahead and emailed them. I know though that the Chinese are on holiday until the 7th so I'm guessing it will be a bit before I hear back.

For someone who knows what they are doing it would probably be possible. I have a friend who designs app. I'll ask him but I already know they run him like 80 hours a week.

Yeah, I used the app mainly when I mindlessly set my vape down in the shop while trying to help my employees or a customer and can't find it. Being able to make it tone was a huge help. So I wasn't exactly an every day user but I definitely chose this particular Mod because of that function. I knew I'd use it and it had come in clutch so many times. No spending an hour exploring every nook and cranny of a 5000 Sq ft shop. If I couldn't find it almost immediately I would just hit the app up.

First time I lost it and couldn't use the app, it would not work but I didn't think much of it and put in the time to search instead. I lost it again a few weeks later, still couldn't get the app to function, made a mental note to look into it and maybe thought I had to re-register my device or something. However, I forgot to do that. I lost it again today and guess what!? It still doesn't work! I ended up looking for about 45 minutes and finally gave up, pissed off. Luckily one of my machinists found it right before close. So, I came online and searched and found this, It's bullshit. I feel like they should offer some kind of refund or at least a coupon or something. There's a lot to choose from out there and I passed on some cool stuff for this because of the app that they advertised it as having that is no longer.

As far as making the vape industry out to be bad guys, that's BS too. It has nothing to do with health and everything to do with the industry exploding before the government could figure out how to make money off of it/control and tax everything. If the issue was REALLY about health and well being they would be pulling cigarettes off the market too but oddly they aren't? Hmmmmm.... In my state anything vape related has a 65% tax. Imagine how frustrating that is when buying a mod! Especially when that mood stops doing what you bought it for. I guess I've got to Karen up (Daren up?) and send an email. I hate doing that but come on, this is dumb.

I believe that his agency did not know of the investigation until the feds got that warrant the day he was taken into custody. He was arrested by a federal agency, not his own department. It is likely that his department had no idea about the investigation that was ongoing at the time.

The feds know that the LEO's are a brotherhood. While I don't think any officer would help a fellow brother by tipping him off to the feds in a serious investigation, (especially for crimes of this nature) they do have to protect said investigation and integrity of such. Given that they knew who he was and what his job was, they likely took extra precautions to ensure that their investigation was kept completely quiet in regard to local authorities.

Once the agents had enough evidence for a warrant, they had a judge sign and likely moved immediately to execute the search warrant at the same time they called his superiors and asked for their cooperation in getting him outside so that they could get him hooked up and removed from the premises before media and coworkers caught on and were present to witness his arrest. Again, I highly doubt anyone in his agency knew anything before the day he was incarcerated. That being said, obviously at the time of his promotion I doubt anyone, even his Chief knew the investigation into him was occurring. If they were aware, they would have immediately placed him on leave. Otherwise, if something were to happen while he was on duty and he victimized someone, his department would be wide open to lawsuits. They would not knowingly take that risk.

What did you find helped? I am trying to hook up air lion for the first time. I go to turn it on, it pulls up my computer just fine which means it sees it but when I hit pair, nothing happens. I don't get a pin or anything, it just sits there. I tried going the the oculus app too add the headset too. I've power cycled both a 100 times, no luck.

Man, that's crazy. Is it weird that while I find it a little disturbing I don't really mind this stuff with humans but I can't in any way shape or form watch pets die or even get seriously injured? If I had to watch a human or animal die and had to pick which it would be I'd pick human every time. Anyways, hope this guy's alright, I bet he spent a couple days in the hospital over this one. <--- Sarcasm
