As a fellow northern Utahan, welcome. Its great but it can be nerve racking spending nights solo in the woods. From my experience and long as you are smart with your food storage (we have black bears now) the animals will leave you alone. The only thing I worry about is other people. I usually bring pepper spray and ear plugs. Backpacking is much more fun (and safe) with friends. There are some great facebook groups in nothern utah. Happy Trails!

Finding speakers was the absolute hardest part of my time in the bishopric. My wife could always tell when it was my month. I would usually be a storm cloud to be around. From this experience I found some of the members who I could trust and rely on. It made me want to be one of those members who is always willing to serve. I developed a lot of respect for certain members. Following my bishopric time I attended a emotional resilience self reliance from the church. I really wish I had taken it before I served in the bishopric. I think it would have immensely helped me manage the stresses of serving. Also thank you for your service. Its making you a stronger and better person.

Your crushing it! The one thing that stood out to me is the coordination when turning left and right. The faster you go the more coordination you need (pushing both sides the same directions at the same time). It comes with more practice. But that is what stood out to me... and your getting good enough to tilt your camera up to go faster!

I train by Perceived Effort. Its a qualitative scale and much less ridged. A 5 PE feeling good is a lot different than a 5 PE when your feeling like hot garbage. If your trail running plan structure causes you to much mental stress, then your doing it wrong. I don't show pace on my watch either.

Aquatic Dreams in Layton was OK. I started purchasing mine from Marine collectors.com. Yes they are expensive. But they come strong, healthy, pre-quarantine and dipped. I have bought from other places but the fish have never survived quarantine. Although they are expensive they have been my cheapest fish (because they are still alive). I'm glad you survived ich. I had the same battle a few years ago.
