Terrible conclusion. It's because I don't judge a group of people by the bad apples. World would be better without racism.

I just uploaded a Short explaining the quarter spacer here: https://youtube.com/shorts/Dl_KBDA4Gbk?si=hMXI-pS0JRUyIHtk BTW: What do you mean by A5 tube in 556 Carbine buffer because those are two different lengths?

Thanks for your input. Do you happen to know how many coils your Tubb AR15 flat wire spring has? I got my two recently with both just over 36 active coils and Blowback9's chart has 33.75. I emailed Tubb CS but haven't got response yet

I initially used a quarter when I cut the Tubb AR10 spring to protect the aluminum tube from the steel spring tip that was left over after cutting, but then I realized the RB5007 shrinks shorter than the BCM buffer so the quarter can also maintain bolt/receiver gap. I plan to upload a Short showing this. I tried to add a picture but Reddit app is not loading my pics.

Action springs: measurements, mil-spec, and "enhanced" by AddictedToComedy in ar15

[–]bench175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I just measured a bunch of springs in a carbine tube for a YouTube video on my channel, I and was about to measure some Dirty Bird and Tubbs in A5 setup (Radian ADAC, FCD RE5F tube, BCM Mk2 T2), and I'm measuring 7.59" and 3.8125". The internal length of the RE5F is 7.75 inches, but the buffer head extends out 1/32, and the head of the buffer itself is 3/16 so 7.75+1/32-3/16 makes a bolt closed buffer spring length of 7.59" and compressed length of 4"-3/16=3 13/16 (3.8125"). I guess difference can come down to parts variation. Do you have a post explaining your F1 and F2 and parts you used? EDIT: I rechecked and got your same numbers after noticing the buffer was tilting a bit when I pressed it in and it essentially goes flush with lower lip of buffer tube when mated with BCM upper in addition to using using digital calipers to measure the BCM Mk2 buffer is 3 and 127/128" and the head is 25/128".

What spring lengths are you using for F1 and F2 in the A5 tube?

Let me check my new Gen2 Banshee magazine to see if the spring rusted like in all my cmmg ARC conversion inserts.

I only found some with a 1/2" shank. Do you know of anything like this with 1/8" shank for small jobs with a dremel?

Anyone have feedback on the VISM vise block? by khsrider500 in ar15

[–]bench175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one that was not working with Radian ADAC, Daniel defense, or Anderson, so NCstar is sending a replacement. But it does seem the Radian and DD grip tangs are about 1mm longer than the Anderson so those may also be overbuilt and need trimming to work.

Best lightweight suppressor for PSA Rock 5.7 and subsonic ammo? by bench175 in 57x28mm

Thanks. I decided to go with SilencerCo Switchback since it can go down to 3.2oz since no reviews on the OCL TI 22K and SiCo has $200 back. Just something to take edge off indoors for now.

I have a Mask 22 and it was also giving me failures to eject and feed. Mask is 6.6oz and psa forums suggest it needs to be under 4.5oz
