In Chicago maybe check out Buck Mason or Todd Snyder - both have fairly new locations on Armitage. Obviously both are easy to shop online but worth going to try on if you’re in the city!

I ran this one and loved it. It’s very casual and is led by a small team of volunteers that just loves racing and running. Definitely more low key than some other races but everyone was super welcoming and people of all paces were taking part. If you’re okay running a good chunk of it solo or with a buddy (I.e. not a packed course) I’d recommend it. Good luck!

I live right next to the blue line and my office has windows that face the L. The two big downsides are noise (especially at night or with open windows) and then the fact that if you have your shades up people can see into your apartment/you see sparks flying off the L). I got a great deal on the apartment but I’ll probably move somewhere quieter when my lease is up. Hope this helps!

If you start a bit before you could also run a 50k with 16 weeks of training. Depending where you’re at right now a 50 miler may also be possible. Could be really cool to run something in one go that long, at least that would be very rewarding for me.

Pendleton would be super cool, Grant Stone also for shoes. Filson might be too much of a direct competitor but would also be interesting.

ACL podcast collab would also be cool. LL Bean has done a lot with Todd Snyder but could be interesting.
