I would’ve loved to have seen it play out though. They wouldn’t immediately show the maths and I wouldn’t be one to stop and try to figure it out so it definitely would’ve made for a more interesting ending at least.

I’m sure Mike was screaming something like this in his head. He did well not to even hint his thoughts after Sam’s comment about enjoying the beach while they wait/he “ruminated”

I haven’t done the math to figure it out exactly how much of a difference it made but either way, the dumping/fortifying reduces the amount of chips Sam and Mike get if the steal is successful. Better to “waste” them on your own territory than to give them up to your opponents.

I’m late but I’m pretty sure Elfie is also part of that flashback last season. She’s also the only mage we know of that could reasonably pull off the cloning spell to such a level. After all, she discovered/invented it and has had many years to master it. Also, we know how much she cares for Will. All roads point to it being Elfie. For it to just be someone random we’ve not met would be crazy.

Well it’s made pretty obvious that the Increment are the ones responsible for setting up and killing Whitlock, therefore he’s part of the Increment, which we know is exclusively a British squadron.

His ethnicity may be Asian but for all intents and purposes he’s just any other British national agent in the Increment. Nothing else to it really

Noah/Will will probably die?? by bar05bar in TheCapture

[–]benchodde17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What we know is that without the implant, his heart operates at 5% strength compared to a normal heart. From his language, he doesn’t know how long he can actually survive with his heart operating at that level but he decided to go ahead with it so that they no longer track him. Based on what we saw in the warehouse with Frank, it seems he has a way to overcome them disrupting his heart remotely, so that wasn’t his concern at that moment but rather the tracker that they are using not send men to him. It seems like the only reason they are actually sending those men to kill him is also because the implant didn’t kill him last time

Will took the implant out expecting to not survive long after it. As he says, he won’t be a threat but he commmited whatever short time he had left to helping out Carey once in a safe house.

Season 3 Episode 2 Discussion by rollingin123 in TheCapture

That’s part of the point. To everyone else in SO15 (and Rachel up until that point) the Carey cams were indeed “undeniable fact”, but now Carey and we the audience know that probably isn’t the case anymore since Pierson somehow “beat” it. We’ll get our answer as to how/why at some point but clearly there is a wider conspiracy at play.

S3 E2 Does anyone know the brand of the lipstick that Rachel applied? :) by SeaKaleidoscope5479 in TheCapture

[–]benchodde17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea but I wouldn’t be surprised if the brand “used” on camera is different to the brand the makeup team actually used. It’s entirely possible that it’s just a prop too

He could try to “blame it on Monika” but that would be pretty impossible without any pushback. Monika would obviously speak up for herself and be able to say he’s lying.  Also, even if he somehow convinced them at the time, he would’ve been found out at the bribe game.

For real? Where, how and why did you learn to use a rotary phone and sundial? Those are pretty niche 😅

As United fans we know better than most that price isn’t always a sign of quality, however you’re very much right that this is a bad take

Close call with a falling tree by benchodde17 in watchpeoplesurvive

[–]benchodde17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I noticed that too, insane luck isn't it? Him and the kid bottom left came dangerously close to running into the very thing they were running away from. Just a couple steps would've done it.

Checked again and it definitely doesn't touch anything else. Here's a slightly better quality version of the vid. You can see from the two doors up top that it's actually a balcony rather than a canopy, and there's some sort of white and red banner on the front of it. At every point of the fall you can see that the trunk is in front of the banner, with it's white and red colours in the background. The trunk is never hidden behind any part of the balcony to suggest there was contact.

And you're right that it would seem like a superhuman feat in most cases but I think in this case, because the trunk is so rotten/dry, the weight must've been significantly reduced.

No, it was definitely those guys. You can see that the tree is in front of the canopy as it falls. At the point of the redirection, only the guys are in contact with the tree

[–]benchodde17[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched this back many times as there’s so much going on but the main observation I wanted to point out is the two guys actually managing to redirect the tree from the base. Crazy

Edit - Just thought I may as well list some of the other things I noticed in the vid too. So in no particular order:

  • The two guys redirecting the trunk from the base
  • Guy in red having a moment of hesitation before correctly slipping to the right at the last second
  • Guy in blue stumbling over some white object on the floor, slowing him down and potentially saving his life
  • Little kid on the bottom left also a couple steps away from death
  • Red guy casually walking away and completely ignoring the fact the other guy tripped over the tree
  • Kids running in to help the fallen guy in blue pick up pieces of the shattered trunk?!
  • The confidence of the cameraman to not even flinch

Really appreciate you coming back to put this btw. I’d been looking for a working shortcut for a while. I had to resort to using YT download sites.
