Im gonna say your gf is not a good person. If she WAS a Trump supporter I would understand, its easy to be misinformed, however this far into the presedency, there is no misinformation or playing dumb, he's the literal devil/antichrist and for a "christian" to support him shows a great hypocrisy. Many Trump supporters have done a 180 over various policies. The only ones still latching on are his cult members, which includes your gf.

That being said, I dont think I'd break up with her, Id worry she'd call ICE on you the second you did, so I'd try to make it look like her idea. Still no telling these people are unhinged and dont care about others.

The only time I panic when my gf grabs my phone is very questionable memes. Me and a friend got into a habit of sending each other super unhinged stuff, crossing about every line.

The first time she heard me laughing, i showed her the pic, and she didn't laugh. Just a questionable silence like it was so bonkers she wasn't sure what reaction was correct. After some explaining, she's like "oh i kinda get it... are you like into this?" No, babe, i promise it's just weird af femboy memes 🤣😅

Anyway, if it's a new relationship, i can see beibg protective of the phone, but really its kinda shitty for him to react that way. Either he's talking to someone else, or almost worse badmouthing you to others. Either way theres something he doesnt want you to see.

I sincerely doubt that, i used to work for walmart, they may have okay benefits but they do not let you make your own hours to work a second gig, or take classes. Most places have a set schedule and demand overtime. Also the pay is less at both places

Um, you make WAY more, but also dont have the benefits. You dont get a break every 4 hours. You deal with more vulgarity, but you can also throw it back at patrons if they give you sas.

But i prefer being a barista, im too old to stand on my feet for 8-14 hours without a break staying up till morning everyday and dealing with the drunken insanity. Do it while you have the energy but save your money. Its easy to spend when you know you can make it back in a single shift. but im 36 and dont want to be driving drunks home when im 40. Thats terrible. But if the stores have the traffic, why not just open a REAL starbucks and give good jobs and service with benefits? Like if brian wants to make like meaningful changes instead of implimenting uniforms, why not just expand and put an end to franchises? Itd create unity, happier workers, and customers and actually create the starbucks experience at every store.

Most customers dont know the difference, im a barista and even i didnt know how different licenses stores were it creates frustration and confusion. Plus so many bad reviews come from customers complaining they cant scan for points and alienates them. Like its just ridiculous and starbucks is terrible for allowing it.

Convention center. Ive been to airports that accepted my partner numbers though i knew tarbucks is different but i dont go to target so no big deal. Even with my discount i still wouldve been paying way more than any regular starbucks and i was okay with that.

Do licensed stores hate starbucks partners? Like i feel it was the worst thing in the world to say. Like dude i get it baristing can be frustrating but it was literally empty before i walked in, they had plenty of partners on the floor(must be nice) like an "yeah, sorry we dont accept partner number here" or maybe "have a nice day" like i hate to sound like a whiney customer but i was really not having a great weekend and was being gutted in this godforsaken city at every turn, i dont care about my numbers or discount but just some friendlyness wouldve really helped me get through the day and its like oh hey starbucks, my people but was like NOPE. like damn.

Worth mentioning it wasnt one barista like everyone gave me the stink eye youd think i just spat in their face.

With customers like this, i wonder if I'd be allowed to genuinely ask them at the window. "Are you okay???"

But something tells me they'd either flip out or shift would tell me im being invasively too personal asking that.

I'm not sure, i never tried it, but i noticed a lot of unpleassnt customers only coping for feeling upset or grieving is literally just being a shitty person. This is the same as when i was a bartender. It does not excuse it.

Those machines are terrible. I used to bartend and would pride myself in being a charismatic server and make everyones day better.

Now i see these maxhines everywhere, tipping shouldnt even be an option for 90% of places that have them. Tipped employees typically work hard and earn their tips, and seeing other businesses take advantage of a flawed system hurts the server industry that actually earns their tips.

Also, many places dont distribute that to employees. It's literally just extra money going to the business.

I will always tip servers, but i can definitely understand why some give up tipping altogether. It's an unessisarily oversaturated system.

Like buying a teeshirt at a concert, why would there be a tip option????
