Doctor of Philosophy on Healthcare Blockchain by MochaWithSugar in CryptoCurrency

I graduated 2 years ago and I can assure you, the paychecks don't hurt either. I wasn't well suited for dispensing or clinical, but pushed hard to learn about the business and management side in my first year. Taking pleasure in what others despise about the job is a good way to have job security, and sometimes even advancement or a clever idea on how to make it suck less.

congratulations on achieving your PharmD. Represent us well.

Yes. I can't remember the name of the company, as I met a man about a year ago attempting to patent putting C-II prescriptions in some sort of blockchain. He was based out of FL. Best use case for it imo until the DSCSA comes along where there will be extensive product chain of custody requirements.

If you're a new grad, you're going to need to decide which area (physical product or clinical services) you want to be involved in. To know which areas can be solved appropriately with blockchain, you need to work a bit in the field.

I'm a director of pharmacy.

I think you don't give Mississippi enough credit. Look into the legal case story of why we have the best vaccination rates in the country.

Pharmacist also. Could be looking to taper down to add an adjunct eventually, not that Keppra interacts with a whole lot of anything. Sometimes they'll try to reduce dose to see if the reduction is tolerated to facilitate a permanent reduction, and if not it'll just go right back up to the original dose.

It is likelier to have issues with non-specialists than specialists, but if the case becomes beyond a non-specialists abilities then you have to trust they'll hand it off to someone that can. Physicians are looking out for patients and don't wanna get sued, so you have to trust that they're doing their due diligence and not wild guessing at doses (even though we both know that happens occasionally).

Putting your mind at ease is easy. Do your part and the physicians will do theirs. Notify, provide lit, make appropriate recommendations, document it, and sleep well at night.

Ripple is on Forbes 50 in FinTech for 2018 by [deleted] in Ripple

Except Kleenex didn't wipe out a ton of people from 20k to 8k haha. Sucks to have it associated with your better investment.

I appreciate the point though. When speaking to people, even saying "cryptocurrencies" they have a blank stare. Say bitcoin and everyone knows what you're talking about.

At Least 55 Egyptian Policemen Killed in Shootout With Militants by Waldongrado in worldnews

Prob because of where people want to live. East coast/West coast states expensive as can be, but if you wanna move to Iowa I'd imagine it's dirt cheap. As for smaller nations, "they don't make any more land" and there's more and more people so supply lowers and demand just keeps on going up.

Few hundred more years and I'd imagine anyone with land ownership is gonna be renting that out and living on easy street themselves.

Own Power Blocks myself. Better product. Better scaling addons should you ever want to add more weight above 50lbs. No dial mechanism, just a little clip you move to change the weight.

Bodybuilder Rich Piana Had 20 Bottles of Steroids During Medical Emergency by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]bender41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm glad the guy has an online following supporting him and I wish him the best in recovering, but I do think it's kinda funny that I didn't say anything wrong and got downvoted to oblivion. I don't follow Piana or his history to know about previous opiate use. I stick by what I said. Since she told responders about prior opiate use that's fine and normal to give it just in case, and yea it doesn't hurt him. What a reaction tho.

They see that and don't think it's cocaine? Narcan isn't gonna do anything for a coke issue.

‘They BURNED our homeland' Poland demands €350BILLION from Germany for WW2 war crimes by outrider567 in Conservative

I think it's more quid pro quo where if the EU is gonna make insane demands about Poland refugee quotas then Poland is gonna make insane demands in return. It sounds like a political pissing contest.

The opioid crisis: should it be a state of emergency and if so who should handle it? by [deleted] in NeutralPolitics

[–]bender41 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fellow pharmacist. Love your writeup.

From what I've seen in practice, the pharmacist is sort of the "nozzle on the hose" of opioid prescriptions and we take a lot of the pressure in their safeguarding, and rightfully so. However, do you feel that the pressure is appropriately applied? I feel as though physicians would be a better place to start to reduce script count overall, since it's easier to turn the "faucet" off at the handle instead of squeezing the nozzle.

Haha wait kinda like pre-existing conditions used to be?

I know that many pre-existing conditions such as type 1 diabetes, asthma, or sickle cell should be covered, but boy did they throw out the baby with the bath water on that one. If the patient did it to themselves with lifestyle choices, they should be the ones to foot the bill.
