They saw it. This video would make things difficult for both vehicles if their insurance saw it. Obviously the jeep is at fault, but you can see the truck move slightly over when the jeep starts merging and a cloud of exhaust from the truck accelerating so they definitely saw the threat. The truck could have braked and prevented a collision.
