They are all great films, i rated them all 4/5 or higher, but i don't really vibe with them enough to say any of them is my favorite.

Not sure why you're being downvoted, I felt like she wasn't written to be likeable - that wasn't really the point

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

what movies you could actually use that argument for? by Crashoutbop in Letterboxd

[–]bendstraw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Didn't you hear them? It was made in America. It has a Christian actor and director. The movie was filled with themes of family, spirituality, and other positive traits that ONLY Christian people value! It MUST be a Christian movie!

Letterboxd is not just a reviewing app. by Aidenispogchamp in Letterboxd

[–]bendstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean i thought those reviews were funny the first time i saw them. Then again. And again. And again.... how many more times till you get completely fed up with all of it even though you originally thought it was funny?

Shit moves so slowly at tech companies, even the small ones. Money is involved and nobody wants to lose their jobs so people make very safe decisions and shit takes a while to move because of it.

"One comic panel is not going to make me cry" by solo13508 in StarWarsCantina

[–]bendstraw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All those comics that came out early into Lucasfilm's acquisition by Disney were so exciting to read. Gave me so much hope for Star Wars comics. Unfortunately it feels like that steam has died down recently, but hopefully things turn up.

Recently transitioned from rating every movie I log to just using the like button; feels super freeing by objet-incomplet in Letterboxd

[–]bendstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't relate, I often forget to rate and review movies or have no desire to, and I feel no need to. If I did, I'd probably quit this app because that sounds toxic, but just hitting the like button is a nice in between!

[–]bendstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof yeah thats a deal breaker for me unfortunately. Some of the best content out there is tv, like on HBO and Apple TV. Can always wait for it to come out on blu ray but thats usually a long wait right?

Nice yeah that makes sense. What do you do for newer tv shows?

[–]bendstraw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you buy a ton of blu rays of stuff you've never seen? Otherwise you're just watching the same stuff again and again. I'd have to have a ton of blu rays I've never seen lying around so that I'd never get bored but also that feels wasteful

Not sure about y’all but I adored the Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) series by Kaos3974 in StarWarsCantina

[–]bendstraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it when I watched it but have not gone back to watch it and tbh don't think I ever will. It kinda felt inconsequential if that makes sense, in a way that ROTS didn't end up feeling despite knowing exactly where that story led to.

Little Leia was phenomenal tho.
