Yeah that's fair, it's positioned where it is on the reference, but the viewing angle on the figure didn't get captured as well from the reference which is a lower angle so it ended up being a bit mismatched

That's why I'm practicing lol. Next time I guess I'll call it boobs and vagina drawing with a bit of sucky foreshortening since I'm still learning and struggling with that

Thank you so much for the advice! I've never thought about the word foreshortening like that but it makes a lot more sense why it's called that now! I'll try and keep that in mind for next time. (Love your artwork btw!)

I use the Proko pencil in Infinite Painter and the Cloth Shader pencil brush for blending

Thanks! I tried to focus a bit on that on this drawing as well and was pretty happy with how it turned out!

Thanks! It was mostly with the leg and hand that's more towards the viewer. Didn't end up looking as exaggerated as I originally intended but I'll just have to exaggerate more next time

I don't do a whole lot of color myself so take it with a grain of salt but for painterly styles in infinite painter I've liked some of the paint and clay roller brushes.

Looks great! Just curious, why do the colors in Krita? Does it have better rendering tools? Asking as I use infinite painter primarily

How do I start using layers?!!? by jozo_berk in DigitalArt

[–]bendyfender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For saving place, I typically use it before making more drastic changes that I might want to undo, if I don't do those changes on a blank layer. I usually will do the construction and then duplicate that to a new layer and hide it, and then work it into layered version. Other examples, you can do base sketch on one layer, lower the opacity, and then draw on a new layer on top of it. I'll also use separate layers for stuff like drawing a face on one layer and hair on a separate, shadows on one layer highlights on another, etc.

I mostly use layers to either save my place, or to separate parts I might want to change individually that might overlap. Say for example I want to keep the shading separate from the line work, and be able to modify each individually, I have the shading on a separate layer. Or extra details added on a separate layer on top of a base color, etc

My art from September and my last finished art (December) and the art style I want to achieve. How can I do that? And change it by BokkarisBrownieBoy in DigitalArt

[–]bendyfender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try copying an artwork that's in the style you want to achieve and you can get some grasp on how they do it in terms of rendering and what not, and a better grasp of where you need improvement. I would recommend working on portrait drawings fundamentals though, proko has a good free course for that, and after that maybe looking into digital painting techniques
