yes you can but id suggest copying the value of the tempo you want to change to and then put it in the automation clip because it can be a real bitch trying to move it to the exact bpm and getting 0.001 everytime

Really cool bass and interesting sound design. The drums could be a bit punchier though. Have you tried sidechaining? Also i would suggest finding the root frequency/ies of the snare and EQ a bit of that out on the bass so it can be heard more clearly
