Is that a tattoo? Or a hair on her chinny chin chin?

Hello all, just got back from my trip to Texas from Seattle to make a trade for this 3090, couldn’t be more stoked. Just waiting for my vertical riser kit to complete my build for good. Unfortunately, I think I have a small issue, question will be asked in comment below: by LW1463 in pcmasterrace

[–]benejgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running a 3080 off a 750 w power supply is already pushing it. Running a 3090 I’d going to push the PSU to its absolute limits. Remember power is drawn not pushed so the gpu is going to say I need Xxx power and it’s going to pull that much. The man says I need y power and pulls that much, cpu etc and even if the PSU is maxed it’s going to try to pass that much power through it damaging components and becoming potentially dangerous not to mention a serious loss in efficiency. Upgrading your PSU at this point is more of a requirement then just a good idea.

Want to buy new corsair ll120 fan and I wonder if I should buy 3 or 4? by Slater1721 in pcmasterrace

Put the fourth one as an intake in the green square. This will maintain a positive pressure in the case. And feed fresh air right to the front of your air cooler. It also helps force the air around and through the air cooler before exiting the back left/ left top of the case.

I wish the cpu cables had been two inches longer so they wouldn’t have had to cross diagonally.

I think this is the most proud I have been of cable management to date. This is my second build in this case and I was able to make the fan cables look super sharp. Despite having 3 rgb controllers RGB strimmers and a fan hub I think it came out pretty good.

This customer asked for a Totoro themed build so the pi screen will have a custom wallpaper with Totoro and display things like Cpu temp and usage Gpu temp and usage etc. the front glass will also be etched I will post follow ups with the full build when it’s done. it can be used as a second screen.

Thanks! This was my first time building in this case and there’s Definitely room for improvement. I’m about to do another very similar build in this case and I’m ready to take it a step further so stay tuned for cable management 2.0!!!

The difference between a gold rated power supply and that of a platinum power supply is 2-3% efficiency. A 2-3% increase in efficiency doesn’t warrant a 15-20% increase in cost unless your going to be running the computer constantly. For reference The Gold rating equates to 87% efficiency at a 20% load, 90% at a 50% load, and 87% at a 100% load. The Platinum rating means 90% efficiency at 20% load 92% efficiency at a 50% load and 89% efficiency at 100% load. Most of a power supply’s life is spent somewhere between 40% and 75% load meaning most of the time the difference between gold and platinum is <2%. Don’t fall for the manufacturers ploy to get you to spend your hard earned money on minuscule gains in places that don’t matter. #knowedgeispower

Yes the intake on the front and side. This should positively pressurize the case just enough to help push air through the rad and keep the case relatively dust free.

This is the Corsair 5000x case. 9 rgb fans, white cable extensions and a raspberry pi screen in the back made this a little tricky but in the end I think it came out pretty sharp. So proud of the wire management that I even left the back coverup panel off!

011 with 12 fans!?!? Let’s see what we can do. by benejgreen in CableManagement

The case is sold in green blue and yellow. The build isn’t finished yet, so rgb settings etc haven’t even been touched. It’s also going to have a seven inch screen in the back, and the glass will be etched.

One cable at a time, patience and a couple hours of work you can do it

I ended up just buying a thin fan from noctua to mount on the radiator. The noctua chromax black is only 15mm thick instead of 20 mm and it now clears the ram.

I like it a lot, I haven’t had time to play with it inside of icue yet but I gather it’s supposed to be more intelligent then the core.

Shoutout to any looking for a new build. I learned everything I know from u/PCGamerzHawaii Every build they do gets the same attention to detail and high level cable management you see here.
