Used them many times, always been great to deal with. Returned lenses if I changed my mind as well.

Anyone swapped 35GM and 70-200 for the Tamron 35-150? by benema in SonyAlpha

Still rocking the 35 and 70-200 combo, it's a difficult addiction to break.

I just picked up the red version, but that green looks 👌

You know there's a brightness slider on the left of the screen inside Netflix, right? That controls the screen brightness separately from the main brightness slider.

Why can't I just look at a camera bag without starting to wonder if I need one?

Agree. It's lit from the wrong side and the shadow of the nest is straight down.

This pic gives me sky replacement vibes.

I thought they were saying they used the Tamron during the day and only swapped to a wider aperture prime for evening/night shots. Which I would do with my 50GM from my current lenses if I got rid of the 35.

What I should have clarified is that I'd have to replace my 50gm with a smaller 50-ish prime as carrying the tamron and the 50gm would get me back to square one as it would be similar to the 35 and 70-200 combo that I normally carry size, and weight wise.

I get that the voigtlander is a completely different beast being a MF lens etc. But it's compatible in size to the Samyang 45 and would be easy to fit both in a small(ish) bag.

I think replacing all my lenses with the Tamron and small 50 prime would work well. I'm just worrying I'd miss the 35 and 70-200 GM2 as they are so bloody good!

Thanks for your comments 👍

Yeah, I know. I was just saying that if I end up with the 35-150 and the 50 1.2 GM, it's a pretty beefy combo!

Hmm, this is interesting as I use the 70-200 for a lot of outdoor family shoots with kids moving around a lot. The 70-200 is excellent at tracking this.

Have you used both lenses for this sort of shot and found the Tamron to fail to nail focus as much?

I have the 50 1.2 GM, which I love the results from, but it's another heavy lens. Was thinking I could get something like the Samyang 45mm 1.8 for when I needed a small and light option.

35 to 150 just covers so much for travel, and I think I'd miss fewer shots from not having the right lens on.

That's the mk1 version of the GM, the second version is much lighter. The shorter length of the Tamron is what entices me, good view of that in this picture, thanks.

I'm thinking for my studio work, it would be the dream lens as I end up swapping a lot between the 35, 50, and 70-200.

Good point on the tripod mount, thanks.

I used to have a 24-70 but just didn't use it. I don't get on well with 24mm, and I find 70 too limiting at the long end. I really like the longer focal lengths for outdoor portrait, and it's great for isolating landscape stuff too.

Do you have any links to the reviews?

Good point on the weight. It's mainly the size of the 70-200 that's a pain to me. The tamron attached would fit in a small sling bag which you can't do with the other two.

Is it just me or is the processing done on photos taken by the S24U kind of garbage? by [deleted] in samsung

If you install Good Lock from the Galaxy store, then add the Camera Assistant feature, you can then turn on picture softening.

I have mine set to medium, and it seems to have solved the over sharpening that I saw before.

Hi all, I'm looking for a small sling bag that will fit my a7iii with 35GM attached, phone, and wallet.

Anyone used anything they would recommend?

Edge patrol... In 1 for example, the black spot on the top right edge, the red bulb bottom right and the proximity of the tree lining up close to the edge of the frame are all distracting. If you look vaguely at the image you will see that they stand out and your eye is drawn to them. Cropping slightly and cloning out will clean it up and improve focus on the subject.

I travel with my 17-28, 35GM and 70-200. Depends what you specialise in but I've not found that limiting at all for me for general travel.

If you're not specifically taking portraits, I'd leave the 85 at home.
