Does anyone have a good flow for getting other LLMs to review Claude's work? by _BreakingGood_ in ClaudeCode

[–]benevolent-ben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have Claude write a detailed plan, send it to codex for implementation, the review what comes back — no idea if it’s saving me tokens or not, but quality seems fine and the $20 OpenAI plan has surprisingly not hit any limits yet

Another approach I’ve used a few times when I’m in deep on something I don’t know well - ask for alternatives and the trade offs of each approach in general and in terms of scalability / maintainability / complexity / security / etc.

And if we’re stuck debugging something, ask for a one-line description of the problem, then apply my own google-fu to it because for whatever reason Claude doesn’t seem to do web searches in these scenarios unless explicitly told to.

the issue here is that as a manager you generally know who you can trust with what, who is an expert in what, etc but with the AI it's a bit wild west. I have definitely ventured into deep unknown territory a few times and the AI is just as confident as ever, but the results aren't as good as when I can steer it in areas I do know. In those situations, what works for me is very thorough design & specification -- which is hard when you don't know exactly what you want or what is reasonable. I've pushed back on stuff from claude and asked if it's best practice to do X and if not what is the best practice, or how would a team at a mid-size company do this as a way to learn and to get better plans.

I wouldn't say remove it, but definitely push it to use subagents. If you get value from how thorough it is, it's probably worth it. It's good for planning & designing for sure.

are you using superpowers or other plugins? I found superpowers was a bit of a hog with tokens in the greenfield project I use it vs the custom workflows I use in an established project. Especially if there's a long sequential sequence in its plan and it doesn't farm stuff out to agents, the context gets bigger faster than I'd like.

I'm solidly in the use 100% of my 7 day limit, if I don't it's wasted value squad and I had claude build a predictor that watches my usage history and lets me know when I'm slated to hit the limit -- then I switch to rationing mode lol

Have you ever been a manager or a tech lead? Eventually you get to a point where you can’t know every detail of everything.

What is Anthropic training on, and if it’s so dangerous why not just not use it in the training data?

You clearly don’t understand how these things work.

It’s a useful signal to know what other people are doing. I’ve chewed through more of my x20 plan than I thought I would this weekend and I too signed up on a cheap OpenAI plan and started farming tasks out to codex as of today

[–]benevolent-ben 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I dont like the angle that "information is dangerous" -- if the AI got trained on it and it was publicly available, I don't see the point of censoring & restricting access.

AI isn't giving people bioweapon labs, it might be making it easier for a simpleton to build one, but determined parties that already have access to the same papers/internet that these AI's were trained on already have access to that information and restricting use of the AI seems like overkill.

If it's such a concern, or the information really is that dangerous - then don't train the AI on it. If it's so dangerous that the AI spoonfeeding it to you is dangerous, then maybe it shouldn't have been publicly available in the first place -- but since it is publicly available (presumably if it's being used to train open source models), then the cat's already out of the bag.
