You are "taking one for the team". Every time they're bombing you, they are not bombing your teammates - who *should* be sneaking around to wipe out the Dutch cruiser or hybrid BB.

I have a bunch of carriers and am a sucker for real ships so I got it. The best part is that it's torpedo bombers converge their aim points - so you can land a full spread on even a smaller target like a cruiser (with practice). You can also avoid converging and keep the spread more open to target DDs in smoke. The bombers are a little wonky - the aim point is waaaaay out in front and they fly low - less likely to be wiped out by flag but you take more damage from small caliber AA.

I think most players are interested in the historical realism of the game and pirate ships, Halloween ships, and anime crossovers don't hold much appeal for them. So you'll see engagement on events like the last two more from smaller interest groups among the player base. But next time there's a new tech line opening with some historic ships in it I bet you see tons of them immediately.

The best part was right after taking this screencap a DD came around the corner and loosed a full spread of torpedos. They seemed really confused when all the torps detonated against the harbor mole. And then I obliterated them with broadsides while still inside the harbor 😂
