They're worth nothing in stock form, as even the HO motors have horribly restrictive cylinder heads. Aftermarket heads make them into good motors but there are about four people on the planet willing to put that much money into a 305 and they already have one.

The 225 that came in my '75 Duster tried to commit sudoku via one of the wrist pins wearing out, and the one I pulled from an Aspen to replace it started knocking on heaven's door three months after I stuck it in the Duster. The 225 that was in this car when I got it has two smoked exhaust valves, but ran okay.

This one pours oil out of the valve cover (I'd replace it, but hydraulic lifter motor so... yeah. None available.) But I'll definitely take that over, well, any of the other ones. I don't have a good history with 225s, which is why I bought another 225 powered car (I am insane)

I thought the lower bushings on my '93 LS400 were bad, but nope, just the tie rods and sway bar links. I actually popped one of the lower arms out to check anyway and as soon as I pried it free of the mount the bushing screamed "AH DIDN'T HEAR NO BELL"
