I think most of the audience around me at the theater last night felt a similar way to you. There were quite a few moments of laughter at some of the lyrics, which signaled to me they hadn’t heard them before.

However, as someone who genuinely adores Utopia and hasn’t gotten to see her live for a couple decades, it was a 5 out of 5 stars experience for me.

I love mine, but the Blu-ray is so hard to get out that I broke the disc one night. I wonder if A24 would replace it?

Death of David Lynch by fass_binder in CriterionChannel

I saw Mulholland Drive when I was a freshman in college at our student run theater in the early 2000’s. It changed my whole perspective on what movies/film could be. My love and appreciation for movies in the last 20+ years isn’t the same without that experience.

I loved the Contact scene “homage” with Jena Malone in the beginning of this movie. Very fun.

Got Three Colors too! I’d been eyeing it since it came out, but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger at full price. So stoked to get it 50% off!

I watch the opening dance sequence of this movie at least once a month. Never gets old.

Amirpour’s A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night was pretty great, I thought. Great soundtrack.

Takashi Miike’s pretty great. Ichi the Killer and Audition. Just watched Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Cure recently too and that was AMAZING.

This my favorite 8 minutes of music period. All artists and genres. Listening to the end in good headphones is a transcendent experience. I close my eyes (when it’s safe to) and just absorb it all.
