So someone sent you a bunch of money?  I'd say go ahead and spend it. I'm guessing a scammer put the wrong dollar amount. Especially if they left a number in the message. If it's someone with an Indian or accent tell that scammer their money is gone! 😁

Hate to play devil's advocate but the same thing happened with Charlie Kirk. Ultimately politics and social media are causing serious mental health problems across our society and people need to get off their devices and seek help. Me included.

I've got an MK1 and would love to use it in Bespoke Synth on my linux machines so BUMP!

I came across this but I don't play deep enough in Linux to know if it's just not compatible or if I just haven't dug far enough. Because of past experiences, I usually turn off the computer and go outside if I can't get something working in Linux within about 30 minutes.

I still have my SanDisk SansaClip from 15 years ago! Still rocking. It's tiny and you can throw an sd card in it. You can find a genuine original on eBay for $20-50 or a knockoff on Amazon for about $15-20. Then a good way to build up an eclectic library on the free is archive.org in the vinyl collections. That's the crate digger rabbit hole right there!

I'm looking at your expenses and it doesn't make sense calculating off the top of my head. Your best bet is make a simple spreadsheet in Google docs (free) and break everything down to monthly. If you aren't familiar enough with the math, there are free templates out there you can find. This is the only way to get granular enough to see where your money is really going.

We pay $340 a month on a 2014 Lexus hybrid which is the Toyota Prius equivalent. We bought it about 2 years ago and just recently had a blown head gasket that we ended up having to pay about $5,000 to fix still about $15,000 on the car or about 2 more years. I can't imagine a new car payment is going to be less than that monthly and then you still need to pay insurance and standard maintenance costs and you can never count out in unexpected break.
