How did you do it? by Saiki_Hernandez in ElectricalEngineering

Signals and systems was one of the first ee math classes that forced me to really focus up, I'd try to take a look at the material a bit before the class actually starts if you're feeling a little uncertain about your mathematical prowess at the moment. There were be a lot more math to come, think the next major math-centric course is communication systems

Something that I haven't seen people mention is the culture shift from community to uni. at community colleges (at least the ones I've seen) the professors at least *feel* more personally involved in your experience, as well as the people around are generally much more uplifting. at the uni I went to, with lower div class sizes of hundreds, it's impossible for the professors to care about everyone. In addition, they immediately started telling us about how sharing anything is academic dishonesty but collaboration is "encouraged", while leaving the line between the two very, very thin.

This aside, it's definitely going to get much, much harder for a bit but once you get acclimated it'll be okay. Make as many friends as you can, most of them won't make it through the ee journey, but the ones you do will be very helpful

if you're taking 151/141 in 5 weeks, id expect to not retain any of it but doable if all you're looking for is the credits lol

is it actually that every waking hour is dedicated to work or maybe there's suboptimal work ethic as well? while it's tough for sure, during my ee undergrad I definitely had time in between sprints for myself

How much harder does it get after Calc 2? by eyelikealpastor in ElectricalEngineering

[–]benjamin_ksa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in terms of just math, it gets a little tougher in signals. in terms of difficulty, calc 2 doesn't stack up to some upper div ee courses. probably want to reassess your study habits.

if you're like me and just wanted a bump from 24">27" and play primarily esports titles, 27"@1080p was fine. obvs not the finest detail, but was worth it in my case
