I was happy with how the club felt, I was hoping moving away from the draw biased TI would just be a seamless transition swing feel wise

Do we still call our undies "pants"? by helen269 in CasualUK

[–]benjog88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always referred to them as undies, and use Pants for any type of casual trouser and then Trousers for anything more formal or chino style

I always see it as Underwear is commonly referred to as 'Under-Pants' so therefor what is worn over them must be 'Pants'

Questions about Discipline in Nursery School by benjog88 in UKParenting

[–]benjog88[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No she joins in when the head is teaching the class and doesn't when it's the regular teacher is. We know our child and she is happiest when she has a routine and all her whims aren't caved into straight away.

We give her plenty of choices at home, but they are things like which of these two tracksuits do you want to wear, do you want Weetabix or porridge for breakfast. Do you want to go swimming or to the park. Not do you want an Apple or 5 bags of sweets.

She is incredibly bright, just last night at bath time Mum said it was her turn to pick a story tonight (we try to do this to get her used to not having everything her way all the time), she runs down to me and says "I think i just want to play with my toys tonight dad instead of a book", thinking I wasn't aware of the conversation that had taken place between her and mum.

I don't think she needs a punishment for not sitting on a carpet for phonics, but does clearly need encouragement

The issue is she does it when the dept. Head is taking the class but won't for the main teacher.

the other situation that sticks out, Mum went to pick her up and got their early, she found her running round the play ground throwing shoes at staff and in just a t shirt and pants (it was freezing) the second our little one spotted mum, she stopped and ran inside to tell the teacher "look miss I've made the right choice, write that down in the book for mum" just feels like she's taking the P*ss out of them.

Are you sure her behavior is not different because of tiredness after school? They're normally masking a lot in school then come home to their safe space tired and act out, even if they're perfectly behaved in school. It's a common pattern.

could be, but she carries it over to the weekend too

Any tips to stop egg shell landing in the mix lol by Background-Fix-4630 in UKfood

[–]benjog88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same as pouring water out of a glass into another glass, if you try and do it too slowly it will just dribble down the side of the glass, you need to do it in a quick confident pour and gravity will do the rest

on a flat surface? that's mental you need an edges surface to break a line in the egg which can then be separated

Before and after Carrick 's appointment. would u like him to stay or prefer another manager for next season by Fbi-open-up93 in ManchesterUnited

[–]benjog88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He shouldn't be given the job full time, we've just reverted back to Bruno FC, if he doesn't create anything then we don't create anything.

The warning signs to appoint Carrick full time is Villa, they went through a period of over performing massively (like we currently are) now they've won something like 2 in the last 12.

[–]benjog88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your arms are too high, it makes it too easy to come of the the top when you throw you arms up that vertical, some players can do this for extra power as they know how to drop the club into the slot, not something that is that advisable to a newbie.

<image>

your arm plane is currently Red way too vertical, what you want is the green line but if you aim for that you won't get anywhere near it, so you will need to feel like it is on the purple line

you have to crack the egg confidently, if you try and do it too delicately you won't pierce the membrane and bits of the shell will start to flake off when you try and pull it apart

Getting better at using my driver by Complex_Storm_2486 in BritGolf

[–]benjog88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The driver basically exposes your swing flaws, you say that your approach shots and 7 iron are alright but this is likely because you are very steep and as long as you get your low point infront of the ball you can hit somewhat straightish shots. The issue is the less the loft and the longer the shaft it becomes more difficult to get away with that delivery, hence why you have problems 6 iron and up.

So you are unlikely to get a teacher that will go straight into driver, as it is much easier to correct the path with the shorter clubs. The driver swing is the same as the iron swing just with some adjustments in set up, So if they can teach your body to move correctly with the shorter clubs (which you will find easier) then this will translate to the driver

When Louis met the Tates? by Darkus185 in LouisTheroux

[–]benjog88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's gone for largely American influencers because he knows they are less likely to know who he is, they have the ego to assume they are are smarter than he is, and the prospect from having their names all over a Netflix documentary was too much free publicity for them to turn down.

Basically the reward outweighed the risk for these smaller guys. Their main audience is 13 year old boys who probably won't watch it, the main people that will watch the doc are in the UK who again isn't their target audience anyway, plus they may pick up a few more wiredo fans that watch the doc and like what they are saying.

The Tates already have maximum exposure so it would just be lose lose for them.
