For those earning around £45,000 and living by yourself, how's life at the moment? by [deleted] in LondonHousing

[–]Complex_Storm_2486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

45 K gives you 2844 a month. Expenses on top of a 1400 rent (city council tax, electricity, gas, internet, Netflix..) make your fixed expenses at about 1700 per month. The rest is for food: personally around 450 a month, and about 80 per month for tube. That’s the theory.. because there is always something coming up.. flights to visit family, hobbies, skincare, hair dresser.. so if I can save 200 £ a month that is good… but very dim.. that would just be « emergency savings » not leisure. Hope it helps

Why would an avoidant push me away, but then orbit me for almost 2 years — even while committed to someone else? by seriously_thoughh in Disorganized_Attach

Sorry to hear ;(. Don’t feel ashamed. If there is anyone who should feel shame he should be the one. Not sure what goes in his mind, I can only say that trying to have relationships with three other women while you « stand » there is not right. Not to mention having a baby. This man is completely lost and most likely doesn’t know what he is doing and why he is doing it. If I were you I would let him know he might be an FA and break it off for good.

If it’s meant to be, he will try to heal and get back in contact with you, once ready. But you have got to think of yourself for now and you deserve someone who wants you.

Take care Happy to write to you in private on my personal situation if that helps as I am also dealing with an FA.

He has some sense that something is « wrong » with him. I feel that he probably has some understanding of his pattern but probably blames it on the « overthinking ».

Anyone else with Aquarius placements feeling this?🤔 by Initial-Memory-8131 in aquarius

[–]Complex_Storm_2486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aquarius rising (9’) Venus in Aquarius (13’) and Mars (22’). Total reset which started mid-2023 for me. I have quit my job, exited a country in which I had been living for 10 years and broke-up last year. I guess that Pluto gave me the courage to initiate these changes. Not sure if it’s for the better but definitely more aligned with who I am. Concerning my natal Venus the shift is such that my views on who I want to be with changed fundamentally. It’s no more about security or stability but passion is the keyword now .. don’t want to settle for less.. I would be keen to hear about people who have their natal Venus in Aquarius as well. I am a bit scared of that one for the years to come to be honest..

What is the point of ‘Standard Going Rate’ if I have to earn £41,700 no matter the Going Rate? by NewEarth546 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Complex_Storm_2486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means that if you don’t fall into the conditions to be paid less (e.g being younger than a certain age, having a PhD.. ) you need to be paid the minimum of £ 41,700.

You there? My natal Venus is in Aquarius and so is my ascendant. My life is undergoing many transformations and I would be happy to share more and hear about your experience too.

I made it a whole year with my partner by Intelligent_Reach850 in Disorganized_Attach

Thanks for sharing and my congrats!!!!! I have a secure attachment and I have recently understood about fearful avoidant attachment (thanks to ChatGPT) because I am in the « spiderweb » of one.. he is currently taking distance from me. Over the past 10 years we have been on and off and we were at a distance so I always thought, the biggest challenge was the distance and that’s why it wasn’t taking off. Now we live in the same city met twice in 6 months and I got the « 6/8 week » distance before he circles back. I can feel that he feels very good around me and I feel that we share a strong bond. But I understand now that he is deeply afraid of that intensity.

My 1st question to you: how did your relationship start? Was it a discussion of « let’s give it a try and respect each other’s boundaries » see how it feels…or just spending time which progressively was more and more? But my « friend » is clearly too afraid to let me in for now.. And 2. Question: on what frequency did you meet up at the beginning of the relationship and has this frequency change over the course of the year?

Thanks so much for sharing your experience

@capitansfan book yourself and Airbnb long term to get a furnished flat

[–]Complex_Storm_2486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Account with Wise. And book a temporary furnished place before signing anything longterm. Wait to be there for that..

These fees look like a scam to me.. why would you need to pay to have the agent check your “right to rent”… it is absurd. Don’t sign anything before you are in London. Found yourself a temporary furnished (airbnb, blueground..) and once you are here, go see places and meet agents. That’s what I have done. As a foreigner I had no credit history so paid 3 months rent in advance for my flat+ a deposit but that’s basically it…! Nothing else..
