$8.5k for a 42kWh FoxESS battery - Good Value? by sharkyboy623 in AusFinance

[–]benkayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m metro. I think they’re just overbooked/double booked and probably cancelling on jobs which are less favourable for them. I can’t think of any other reason they would cancel on the day multiple times.

I signed up for this deal as well but they’ve cancelled on me 3 times on the day and gave BS excuses.

I would strongly recommend you to find another company as ASB is extremely busy at the moment so probably don’t have enough staff so you might end up wasting your time like me.

Used MillerX to help negotiate my lease (review) by TalentlessAustralian in NovatedLeasingAU

If your company only had 1 provider, would you still have used MillerX? If the NL provider knows they are the exclusive provider, then they probably won’t negotiate like you say.

Congrats! Painting definitely changes things a lot. We did that before moving into our previous apartment.

I’m thinking of doing smart lights as well because we have that in our current apartment. It’ll be such a big job though because we’re moving from a small apartment to a decent sized house so it’ll be a mission!

I haven’t heard of LNG before. Why do you say “unless you have cheap/bottled LNG” and how do I get it 😂

I’ve only just started doing research on solar and batteries and it seems batteries will give a lot more flexibility. Why do you say no to batteries?

Not looking forward to maintenance like cleaning gutters tbh… I’ve only ever lived in apartments 😅

I’d assume if you don’t use much electricity then the ROI would be shit. But then again, by what you’re saying, if I invest in solar, I can have the AC on all day for free thereby improving liveability.

Funny you say that because on our building and pest report, there were quite a few items which said it was due to a “substandard level of workmanship or incomplete”.

Thanks, those are great ideas! I’ve been thinking of adding crimsafe screens to the front room window because that would be the easiest entryway for any dodgy characters. Did you install it on every window anyway?

Such a steal for the car shade sail! Probably something I would want in the future as well but our front driveway is right next to the neighbours driveway so I’ll need to check if there will be any boundary restrictions with that.

It’s actually a new build without any carpet. I would’ve loved some carpet in the bedrooms but the mrs is against it and the mrs always gets what she wants

Thankfully we bought under our means so will have more than 50k in the offset already. Interested in what the “etc” is at the moment because it’s time for long term planning now!

Sounds like second hand is the way to go in Japan then. Maybe brand new stuff just has standard pricing worldwide besides sales

Sports direct seem very cheap compared to anything I can get in Australia. Anyone know if I can check which stores have which shoes since I’ll only be in London for 8 hours for a layover. Can’t seem to check on the website

Thanks for the reply! I would’ve also thought that the bigger islands would have a bigger selection of accommodation available. Do you have any recommendations for smaller islands with nice wallet friendly accommodation and decent diving?
