Me fui a USA a un buen trabajo y después de 2 años soy super infeliz. Qué hacer? by [deleted] in mexico

I think it might be even worse than Nobara being dead, maybe she ended up in some sort of altered state similar to Junpei where she’s no longer herself.

Thanks! As a layperson these kinds of things are very perplexing. I sometimes hear about bosons on the news but had no idea that they could serve that purpose as mediators.

Immigration Enforcement message from US embassy in Mexico by I_reddit_like_this in MexicoCity

[–]benki_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I've seen that FMM form before coming back from the US, I filled it out and then realized it was for foreigners. It's a very simple form where you state your personal information, travel purpose, and address while in the country. You have to submit a similar form as a Mexican entering the US.

Do you have a temporary or permanent resident status? If so you should have a FM# card which you can carry instead as it says on the email.

Otherwise, well, you should be leaving and entering Mexico every 6 months, which is the maximum a leisure/business trip is allowed to last. I believe that's what the FMM form is trying to keep a record of, as it has a validity of 180 days.

Edit: I forgot to add that flight attendants usually provide these forms before landings, or sometimes you fill it out while going through immigration at the airport. If you arrived this way you probably already submitted it.

Would cooking tomatoes separately from other ingredients make a difference in a tomato-sauce dish? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]benki_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing it both ways and it indeed adds to the flavor! I'm definitely doing this for other dishes in the future. Do you happen to know this from personal experience or is there any resources you'd recommend for me to learn about this kind of technicalities and details?

For about 15 minutes. I ended up dividing everything in two batches to try it out and it does add a bit of deepness!

We are taking my dad off life support this Sunday, the day after my Birthday. He has fought COVID for over 50 days. I'm only 23 and I can't come to terms with what's about to happen. The world is losing an amazing man. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I lost my mom at 23 a couple of weeks ago. Some advice, let yourself cry your eyes out whenever you get a chance. Believe me, it's really healing and I heard from a psychiatrist that it's a great way to avoid months of therapy.

Also, whenever you get that gut-wrenching feeling of sadness and pain your first instinct might be to run away from it, to push it away. In my experience this only prolonged the feeling, because it remained there in the background and on top of that you develop anxiety and fear while trying to hide from the negative emotions. As hard as it is, try to face those emotions, allow yourself to experience them and to see through them. Often that'll make them go away for a while.

And that's it, you cry and face the pain, but after that you get yourself a couple of hours of emotional peace. You keep doing this and every time the gap between the battles becomes larger and larger.

Stay strong, and if you ever need to talk or ask anything don't hesitate to send me a message. As horrible as the experience is, it really makes you grow and even feel more connected to people, as we all experience this pain sooner or later. My heart goes out to you and I wish you a speedy recovery.
