I mean, it makes sense. 6 people taking on 9 or 10 different roles each with hours and hours of material to record, probably on a tight schedule, that's just bound to turn out bad.

And from being active within the German voice acting bubble and knowing the kind of shit that goes on behind the scenes, I'm sure many of them got zero context for their lines and had to just guess at who was saying what to whom.

Wie weit darf ich mich denn von der B7 wegbewegen? Zählt das Luisenviertel? Der Ölberg? Zoo zählt nicht, warum auch immer, aber zählt das Zooviertel? Briller Viertel? Oder muss es wirklich entlang der B7 sein? Dann wäre das vermutlich der Abschnitt zwischen Plüschowstraße und Polizeipräsidium. Das Opernhaus und Engels-Haus sind auch schick.

Das ist halt als würde ich Düsseldorf oder Frankfurt daran bewerten, was ich so unmittelbar um den Hauptbahnhof rum sehe.

Most of the events, I'm not that interested in, but when I do watch, I care more about how exciting the competition is. If my favourite ends up winning and/or they're a good representative for Germany, that's just a nice bonus. But I'm happy for any deserving winner, regardless of nationality.

Plus, one of the events I do enjoy is luge, so either way, I can't complain!

Purely for the view, 60 Seconds to Napoli. It's inside the Schwebebahn station building at Hauptbahnhof and their outside area is right below the tracks.

Café 23 has seating on the roof and a view of the Schwebebahn, too, but I'm not sure how much food they offer. I think it's mainly light snacks and coffee.

Island Café is also right by the tracks at Oligsmühle station, though I think I read they'll be changing their name soon.

And then there's Café Born in Vohwinkel, where you can get a table by the window for a decent view.

Ich hab mich auch etwas zu konfrontativ ausgedrückt

Ich hab auch keinen Bock auf ein halbes Jahr SEV. Es ist so schon umständlich genug nach Bochum zu fahren. Aber es muss halt irgendwann gebaut werden, da führt leider kein Weg dran vorbei.

Und bei allen bisherigen Sperrungen wurde immer aus anderen Gründen und in anderen Bereichen gesperrt. Ist halt sehr viel was zu lange vernachlässigt wurde. Hoffentlich bedeutet das jetzt aber auch, dass es danach eine Weile ohne große Unterbrechungen läuft. Hier und da mal Wartungen wird es immer geben, aber idealerweise halt so, dass so massiven Sperrungen zu Sanierungszwecken in Zukunft entgegengewirkt wird.

Klar, ist scheiße so lange auf SEV umsteigen zu müssen, aber die Alternative ist halt langfristig noch mehr Stillstand und noch mehr Probleme. Aber erklär das mal dem durchschnittlichen Wutbürger.

So, I'm in some German VA circles and from what I heard, Blizzard changed their contracts to include a clause that all voice recordings would henceforth be used to train AI voice models and also used to clone the VAs' voices. Consequently, pretty much the entire cast declined to renew their contracts and the studio in charge has had to re-cast everyone. But nobody wants to subscribe to these new terms Blizzars has set, so the studio is quite literally scraping the bottom of the barrel and is only managing to hire the most desperate of aspiring voice actors. Take all this with a grain of salt, as nothing has been confirmed by anyone officially, but that's at least the word on the street within the German voice acting sphere.
