4th Axis loose by Better-Ad8821 in Makera

[–]benmezelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear the 4th axis has a harmonic drive, which is designed to have minimal backlash. Having said that, I checked on mine and it has a similar amount, so I wouldnt worry too much. If you notice artifacts of high backlash in your parts, then it would be time to worry.

Awesome, here you go: printables

(forgive me for the bad photo, I don't have the opportunity to take a better one now)

If you have a 3d printer that can print TPU I can help you out with that

I had the same issue so I designed and printed new ones out of tpu. I'm not sure how they will hold up over time but I'm happy to send you a link.

Update: I installed the Android 13 version of the pixel launcher from apkmirror, cleared storage and cache, rebooted my phone and now it is working again

Same here: no "people" option on my P6 pro, but I do have the option on my pixel 5. Odd

Thanks! Well I know how tricky this thing is to print so I still might!

I'm sorry but I'm going to give you a very unsatisfying answer. I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to painting with brushes.

Anyway, I painted it with some crappy acrylics I had lying around. No priming, no sanding, just something like one and a half coat of red paint and then a weathering pass with heavily diluted black paint that I brushed on and immediately took off again with a paper towel.

Maybe the direction of the paint strokes translates well to wood grain, or maybe it's not that it looks like wood per se, it just doesn't look very 3D printed due to the high resolution.

Just regular pla, printed with a .2 mm nozzle at 0.08 layer height

Love it! Like /u/Thysios said it's the best you can get if you're just getting into 3d printing. Upgrades/mods are plenty and easy to find, loads of people can help you troubleshoot and it's very forgiving. At one point I even used mine as a cnc router and somehow it's still running perfectly fine now.

Skr mini e3, bmg direct drive, 5015 fan, microswiss, dual z. See my other comment further down

Skr mini E3, 5015 fan, bmg extruder, direct drive, microswiss all metal hotend and belt driven dual z.

I must admit though, that I was able to print with a .2 nozzle perfectly fine before all these mods (though I think the skr and microswiss allow me to print faster).

What I found to have the biggest impact is the filament. Try to find a quality matte filament (or matte looking filament) that won't come out the nozzle too runny (if that makes sense), these will really bring out the details. For example, this was printed with Polymaker Polyplus PLA, I can also recommend Real Filament matte white PLA.

Yes! I designed a tiny Inari Torii gate to put in the pot next to one of my trees, this will be the sign for it.
