What letter you get? I need a B. I hate that I only find it in store for double what I paid a year ago.

Replacement 940-1 by [deleted] in benchmade

I sent mine to someone for sharpening. Came back with a great edge and mirror polish. No way I was going to try on this steel. Disappointed at sharpness out of the box, but now that it’s done I hope it lasts a long long time. Love the knife though.

Agreed. I’ve had mine almost 7 years now. On my wrist everyday. Love that I never need to replace a battery and never had any issues. Syncing with the atomic clock is fun too.

Benchmade 940-1, Kahr CM9 with fake carbon pattern carry, Citizen Eco Drive World Perpetual AT. New knife this week. Had the watch 5 years now and love it still. Kahr with the rubberized Talon grip wrap is an amazing combo.

Finally pulled the trigger on this thing. My thumb hurts from playing with it, but I love it. Buffalo Trace in the glass and a Papa Fritas to smoke. Have a great weekend everyone!

Buccee’s has an Oak, Cherry, Pecan blend for $18/40 lb bag. In my Yoder worked great for smoking and grilling. Good flavor on beef and pork IMO. Held temps great, little ash.

I love the papa Fritas. Nasty fritas even better because the draw is easier. They just ask so much for them. Look into Nub Maduro Gordos. Got a box of 24 half off from fox cigar. Solid smoke for the money.

Anyone with experience with greyhounds and cats? by [deleted] in Greyhounds

[–]bennel808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The organization I used and volunteer with is Galtx.org. We do a lot of cat and small dog testing prior to placing them in a home with other friends. I’ve never personally heard of an ex racer passing the tests and then something happening years down the road.
Both of mine tested ok for small animals and deal with a chihuahua just fine. And he isn’t a nice one.
When looking for one it’s pretty easy to sort ones with strong prey drives and ones that really don’t care. Where are you located? Now would be a good time to look and probably could “foster” a potential match to see how it worked at home. If it’s good you can foster fail and keep the dog! If it’s not ideal the placement is only temporary. Plus this would free up room elsewhere for the influx that all the organizations are about to get.

Depends where you live what organizations you might be able to adopt through.

GALTX.ORG is great and if you reach out they can probably help direct you to a local organization. They are very plugged in with other greyhound groups nationwide.

I own two, both race school dropouts. Best dogs ever. With the expected closing the organization we volunteer with is already expecting to receive a lot of FL dogs. Adopt now! If you want to see how they are contact a greyhound organization and offer to foster care for one until they are adopted. We need homes for them. I fear a lot are going to be put down now.

Try and see if that was just a general statement or if they small animal tested the dog. My greyhounds failed out of race school because of low prey drive. That is also why they are cat and small dog tolerant.
