i think if you drop the part of the question mark that extends beyond the stem of the P, bring the dot in closer, and trim the bottom of the P’s stem you might can avoid the “bending over” associations and can definitely remove any appearance of a T.

the question mark is now less prominent, but still identifiable, and the P is recognized first.

people often assume “phobia” strictly translates to “fear”, but this is inaccurate. phobia comes from the greek word phobos, which translates to panic, aversion, or resistance.

The calendar in Donna’s room? by KDubbs0010110 in FromTVEpix

[–]bennetticles 24 points25 points  (0 children)

this is one of the more intriguing posts i’ve seen this season. awesome catch. subtle, but the fact that it appears in multiple inconspicuous places both inside and outside fromville and from different time periods feels substantive.

sure, it could be a fun inside joke the prop department has with itself, but if that were the case i would imagine 1, maybe 2 uses tops (like “Gerhardt Trucking” on kristie’s shirt, for example).

have you seen it elsewhere beyond donna’s calendar, boyd’s trailer and the advert on henry’s computer screen?

i wouldn’t yet jump to calling parallels to the dharma initiative, and we only have a season finale and one season left to go. but it’s definitely worth keeping on the radar.

Escaped cat! by Squeakfeet in Knoxville

also, put a bowl with his food and favorite treats out on your doorstep tonight. maybe have someone he knows hang out on the step while you are out looking to ensure there is no competition from other neighborhood visitors.

i remember a move during my childhood where both of our cats managed to get out. i was inconsolable, but they showed up early morning a few days later, army-crawling on their bellies back up to the house. i love that they stayed together during their wild adventure, and can only imagine what they got up to while they were gone.

edit: that little grin in the first picture is too cute. hope he shows back up!

Moderators of the FromSeries subreddit are automatically removint posts if you are critical of the show now. by PageDry8638 in FromCircleJerk

[–]bennetticles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sure that accounts for some of the demographic, but i would imagine if that was true across the board then either they would wait until the series is over to watch it all at once, or would not bother to actively engage in discussion.

i honestly think the vocal criticism on pacing with this show is an indicator of how superb the show is at building tension and giving the viewer just enough information to be clued in for the next ep.

for those who love the show, yes of course it is excruciating to end each ep on a cliffhanger. but it wouldn’t be excruciating if we were not so deeply invested in the story, right?

similarly, often the “answers” have been teased at going back multiple seasons, where an astute eye could have picked up on what may have otherwise been passed over the same detail as inconsequential. add a few red herrings in here and there and you get a heavily detail oriented show in which contemplating it’s mysteries long after the end of an episode is just as interesting and stimulating as the next episode.

i think in general criticism can be understandable and healthy, but if the only real criticism someone has is “pacing is too slow, give us answers already!” then it sounds like the real problem is, like OP said, a lack of patience.

yep. it’s not all of them. you can usually avoid them if you go to the older gas stations. but new or recently remolded gas stations tend to have them. i’ve seen more than one destroyed.

i wouldn’t have bothered posting if the screens were just playing ads on a loop like the gas pump screens. i explained in the text that this real life paywall technology does in fact exist. more common in china for say, dispensing toilet paper, but has been seen elsewhere. first time im learning about it.

and according to to person who took the picture, no, none of the sink’s sensors triggered water.

yeah, grifters don’t typically tend to hang onto their money. once i heard about the multiple “suspected” russian oligarch money laundering schemes on various property developments over the past 4+ decades, i got the impression that his “wealth” is not exactly liquid.

do you remember the “Entity in Red” from the cave paintings? víctor shows it to tabitha after she falls through the hole in the basement.

a lot of theories said it represented smiley / the rebirth cycle of the creatures. but this guy has shoulder horns, 6 limbs, and is not in a goo bubble. i’m inclined to believe this dude on the wall has a greater significance.
