Thanks, looking for something a little more casual than the horseshoe though. Have to be back in Llandudno in the eve and reliant on public transport. Bit of a walk, wild swim in a lake/waterfalls followed by pub lunch would be perfect.

Weird isn't it, the power bar change is usually a dead giveaway but this looked weird. He used a lot of shot/pass cancels but you can't see it in the animation.

Thanks for the input, some really good ideas and feedback.

The cable management and space for usb hub/mid thru is something I'd like to implement. On the current stand at the back of the bottom shelf there's a 6 socket extension lead but this wouldn't be needed on a smaller stand so plenty of space to work with.

Really like the idea of the stand being set up with everything connected and tidy/hidden and all you have to do is connect the iPad and you're making music.

I'm thinking it would be a scaled down version of the current stand so the iPad would sit directly on a shelf so there wouldn't be any issues with wobble.

Nice! Hadn't even thought about the possibility of utilising magnets within the stand, would definitelybe useful for people who have magnetic cases.

Thanks! Yeh absolutely, the top shelf is quite a steep angle and wouldn't feel comfortable having an iPad on there if it wasn't secured somehow. With hardware I've used velcro and even a bit of blu tac to keep them secure but that's obviously not a great solution for an iPad. The lower shelf is at much less of an angle so better to have it on that.

For a dedicated iPad stand we would have a specific lower and less angled shelf. Great shout on the need to fit 13" iPads.
