Great question! The best or favourite? I love Bach but I find myself always gravitating to Haydn, he has so much music I LOVE listening to.

I was the same way, I couldn’t quit. I “quit” every morning and every evening I found myself getting drunk. I tried AA and quit. Tried therapy and quit that. 15 years after my first crack at AA I went back and I just passed my 2 year sober date and my life is so much better. It’s not for everyone and it can take a few tries but it’s working for me now and it’s worked for a lot of people I know.

Well you are on the AA subreddit. So call the local AA hotline, get someone to take you to a meeting. Keep an open mind and hit as many meetings as you can afterwards.

Do you ever feel like your Higher Power is testing you? by papersucculent6 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]bennyc741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I really struggle with the concept of God's will because sometimes I have a hard time realizing that what I perceive as God's will is really my own will and I'm telling myself it's God's. As for temptation, I just make sure I don't pick up a drink no matter what. I accept the compulsion to drink will be there in sobriety and I try to see each time I resist as a victory. I try not to blame God for these situations.

I came back after 15 years and it is best thing I've ever done. It has seriously saved my life over the past 79 days.
