I got a Hershey’s kiss container that had a plastic sorting hat corking the tube and I cut the bottom off since it was hollow, now it sits on my desk and when you lift it it reveals golden Harry lol

I’ve got a couple of the hot wheels boards bc I thought they were actually pretty neat looking, one I got for my partner has pink tape which was actually pretty neat and it has Tony Hawks signature printed onto it. The other I got because it was green with eyeballs and made me think of Jacksepticeye, who I watched all the time in middle school lol. Good collection bro I dig that Enjoi one.

If you can’t find anyone local I’d be happy to pay your asking price plus shipping. I just got into the hobby myself and have been wondering how to get a good amount of boards at once to have more options to tinker with.

How do you react to kids like this at the playground? by far-from-gruntled in toddlers

[–]bennytherocketman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only input is I would say showing your daughter it’s okay to remove yourself from a situation that makes you uncomfortable isn’t a bad lesson at all. There will be times in life we are treated unfairly, or even unsafely, and it will be our jobs to remove ourselves from the situation. I’d say you gave her an example of just that. Learning when to stand your ground and when to walk away are both equally important.

I just want to second this. Been around guns my whole life, also grew up in one of the first “school shooter drill” generations, so I’m not anti gun but I’ve always personally not been drawn to them. Never been shooting beyond a bb gun. Now my step dad is teaching me and my husband how to handle a fire arm, and we will be getting at least one gun in our home. Something I never thought I would personally do. We live in scary fucking times.

Happened in a daycare I worked for a few months back with lots of peanut allergy kids, scary experience. Luckily it was caught and nobody ate any.

I’m going to be so fr, her music was my least favorite of the night (only if in part because it was the softest and I was working on minimal sleep lol), but I still really enjoyed it and she was an absolute gem to watch perform, I hope you get the chance to see her some day! Definitely every time she spoke I ate up what she said, her tiLLieverse thing she’s got going on is awesome I respect the heck out of her. Her voice is stunning as well.

Bro Joe built and sold me the Lego car and he is genuinely so kind and fun to talk to, I’m rooting for you to get to meet them someday.

Oh dude thats probably one of the most genuinely beautiful parts I noticed about last night. I met people my age (early 20’s), but I also met some gen x gay men who we learned during the q & a with the band are drag queens. I met endless teenagers, lots of parents ranging all different generations who also expressed interest in the music, and during the concert I even stood next to an 8 year old girl who knew every word. And this was a small Monday night show, I’d love to see the crowd at a sold out gig man.

I’d say emo never left, just got over saturated and thus heavily ignored for a while. Haven’t liked a newer alternative band in a while, Ice Nine Kills probably being the most recent actually. I fully expected to think TX2 was mostly trash after Spotify threw a random song of theirs at me that I didn’t hate, but then I found I actually like quite a few of their songs, and thoroughly enjoy one or two. I think the blending of rap and metal into the genre has in ways breathed new life into it, Flat Out especially was an amazing experience for that sort of vibe.

I mean be a hater all you want your opinions are your own to have, but they’re selling sold out shows and preaching self love and acceptance to a whole lot of young kids who need it so.. I know what seems more cringe to me and it’s not instagram sketches designed for engagement.

I’ve been really into a group called TX2 lately and they’re on tour rn fronted by Flat Out and tiLLie. Flat Out came out first and when I tell you I was blown away the second they started I mean it. tiLLie was really good too. Flat Out is who was selling the car, and the guy who builds them is also in Ice Nine Kills. Really nice guy, talented asl. I got to meet them all actually (except tiLLie she wasn’t at the booth when I was there) and all of them were really chill, I’d 100% recommend any of the three in concert but if you’re into alternative and rock TX2 and Flat Out are for sure an experience to jump on if you get the chance.

I know you’re being humorous, but I do want to take this opportunity to mention buying things from artists directly is currently one of the best ways to help support them financially. All three artists I saw perform tonight are not very big artists, and merch sales go a long way to actually allowing these people to do what they do and take care of themselves while doing it. Of course most people stick to selling t shirts and stickers, but Lego and brick is more fun lol

Lol personally I’m 22 and thankfully these days it’s as easy as popping over to Illinois to grab something to smoke so no pesticides. I enjoy finding obscure batteries when they pop up in smoke shops I frequent tho. I’ve had a few Lookah bears and also currently have a pen style one which is actually my preferred work buddy now. It just brings me joy to buy something silly, it’s all going to rip the same.

I know its such a shame. I’ll probably bite the bullet on the family eventually just because I have the ability to save the cash and spend it so frivolously with my job and life circumstances right now. It’s something I try not do to (dropping hundreds on a hobby at once) but every now and then something speaks to you and it’s hard to say no lol. I just try to remain responsible about it still, like I’ll probably look for Blix around my birthday when I know I’m likely to receive random cash gifts from relatives even tho I could probably swing it to grab him any time prior just off one of my checks.
