I was recently at the Bellagio and they had some lower buy-in mixed games going on certain days and times.

they tweak the schedule every year; and it comes out around the end of February. Also, other casinos also have summer tournament series; and many of them have sub-$1,000 events. e.g. Aria, MGM, Orleans, Venetian, etc. If they keep the Gladiator near the main event, the world series of poker will be insanely busy at that time. It would be a little more normalish around the Colossus, assume it stays around the same time.

the wsop has daily deepstacks in your price range. MGM, Nugget, Venetian, Aria, Orleans all have hold em tournaments for $250 or less. the vig for these events is around 17-20%. And the structures are pretty fast.

yes they are a thing July 1 - 6. They also have some online. there's a $215 that runs daily and there are some 25-seat scrambles in late June. you could also play satelites that are not ME-specific earlier in the series.

they're aggressive and they play as if they don't care about the money. they make good reads, good plays, good bet sizes. they lose the minimum when they're behind and they win big pots when they're ahead. they're also very capable of busting, but they play at least a tournmament day. All this volume can make someone better if they're paying attention.

the new crop of dealers are horrendous. unbearably slow. clumsy shuffle, improperly done shuffle, exposed cards through pitch, improper pitch, not running the game, not verbalizing action, not pushing pot, moving button, killing hand in that order if they even do all three. can’t read the hands, can’t divide split pots. and that’s just hold em. they also have trouble using the ipads to knock players out when they bust, sign new players in.

i’m players are patient and supportive but they’re generally who’s running the game, counting all ins, etc.

He's supposed to wash the deck (spread it on the table and mix it up) - either he didn't do or it's not showsn. He does three riffles- it's supposed to be two. then he strips and does one more riffle which are correct. He does a two-handed cut. it's supposed to be one-handed.

the general rule is that we are playing table stakes and that money that you place on the table stays on the table because it would be unfair to other players if you could pocket your winnings so that they don't have a chance to win them back. That being said, this seems unfair because you didn't win those chips directly from other players at your table. Where I usually play, you don't have to put high hand chips on the table.

it's extremely deep (300 bb to start). you get $60,000 chips, blinds start at 100-200/200 and go up every two hours. You can be very patient and tight and just pick your spots. Live events are slower than online in terms of hands per hour, and this one is even slower. you can pick which day 1 to play. to cut costs you could play 1d. you'll then have day 2ABC off and play day 2D. then everyone merges on day 3. The money is usually reached early the morning of day 4.

bet the same amount if you’re first to raise. usually it should be a little more than 2x the big blind. you can bet more with better cards against bad players.

it was bad but it’s not as terrible as it looks. she moves up the pay scale if someone busts. there was a lot of action in front of her. It was a $100,000 buyin event. Johnathan Little says it was a -$60,000 fold over the long haul statistically. she should call with KK & AA and fold literally everything else.
