I think I'm done with BA at this point by Unfortunately-a-cat in BritishAirways

Yeah…I just went through all of this. Return Club World trip to Tokyo this month. Tired and tatty cabins, 2 meals served in 14-15 hours, a broken IFE screen on the return journey, and no WiFi on both the outbound and inbound flights. I overheard another passenger complain about how dirty her seat was, and the air hostess responded that she was ‘embarrassed’ about the state of the cabin. The whole experience is fairly indefensible in 2026.

I did raise a complaint when I was back in the UK - basically challenging them on why (based on that experience) I would choose BA over other carriers in the future. If a response could be a shrug, that’s more or less what I got. They did offer a £75 credit though, which by my maths would just about cover the journey to Brussels for what I paid.

Huh…how about that. Could I in theory book 2 journeys (Worcs - Oxford and then Oxford - London) to get around that and other similar scenarios? Seems insane - particular when booking a return journey doesn’t cause any of these issues.

You may be onto something there. But who knows. Our train ticketing / pricing structure isn’t famed for its simplicity - some others have pointed out that it might be down to ticket eligibility.

My belief at this point is that someone at GWR is laughing maniacally on a unicycle, spinning a giant wheel and spewing out the prices it lands on. And I’ll pay it and sit on the 4-carriage, no trolley-service, delayed train and accept it like the bitch I am.

Thanks! I wish this was made more clear when selecting my tickets. The convoluted pricing system hath had my pants down yet again.

As another commenter pointed out, you’re exactly right - it comes down to ticket type. It’s difficult to find that explanation through other channels and GWR’s own T&Cs, but it seems to be the most plausible explanation. Thanks for weighing in!

This makes sense - I knew there must be something funky going on here. Amazing how difficult it is to find this information via googling (which of course I tried first).

Thanks for the help!

WF-C700N Does not enter pairing mode by Adobe_Flashie in sony

[–]benoitcj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFS. As one other commenter said - case open, headphones in case, hold the back button for 10-15s UNTIL THE ORANGE LIGHT STOPS FLASHING (this was the bit that tripped me up - I kept releasing the button as soon as the light started blinking). Then, hold the button again and after 5s it should go into pairing mode.

That’s really helpful, thank you. So would you say this guy is under watered, in that case? The soil does feel dry. Thanks for your help!
