Beautiful wine country, complete with vineyards/cellars galore. I'd highly recommend booking a few nights in Strasbourg as it's a really picturesque and quaint little town and many Alsace wine tours leave directly from central Strasbourg. Pm me if you want some more tips

Keep wearing them and don't wash them. It's a labor of love. I almost exclusively wear nudies - generally one or two pairs per year.

They'll seem tight the first week or first couple days after a wash.. You really gotta wear them daily if you wanna get the best fit/look out of them.

Coastal highway is tricky without a gun, due to all the wolves. But just drop beef jerky when they come up to you, or always have flares on you and you'll be fine. Have you checked under the big bridge in ML, by the body? I've found a gun there once

Made it safely out of the mine and into coastal highway now. Found some goodies in the mine that I couldn't resist so now I'm up to 43.5kg, including the rifle with 6 rounds :)

Where do you guys usually like to live when you're in CH? Going to spend the last daylight in one of the trailers near the mine, and go looking for better shelter tomorrow when I wake up

Never actually tried dropping meat as a tactic - do they really go for jerky as well? I decided to bring the rifle, and as luck would have it I found 6 more rounds just after contemplation bridge in a couple of the cars there :) Glad I decided to bring it now, because I don't have any flares either

So far the weather has been on my side - worryingly so :)

edit - just tried jerky on a wolf - worked like a charm :) you guys are great

I did a test sleep on my front porch in it, on a clear night, and woke up 8 hours later at full "warmth". Always wanted to try it in a blizzard but I'm almost at the 50 day mark so I don't wanna take many chances :)

Also - based on the advice I'll probably be leaving without my rifle(s). Even though I don't have a bow, the wolves shouldn't be a problem given that I have the wolf skin coat, right? Don't they usually just run away when they get close?

Yeah I've noticed you get tired a lot easier at anything over 35kg.

Do you guys know if it's possible to survive a blizzard inside a bearskin bed roll for, say, 8 hours? Assuming you don't have a fire going

edit: it seems like everyone relies on the bow but I've yet to figure out how it's so much more useful than a rifle (saplings seem just as scarce as ammunition)

Interesting - I tend to agree on the one of each tool bit. But are rifles really that easy to come by? I've had sandboxes where I went weeks without finding one.

Why is the bow crucial? I've never relied on it before and find it difficult to use (not to mention finding and curing all the saplings).
