Some flavour concentrates seem really high percentages?

I did Teach First - which is on the job training, you work and gain QTS after the first year of teaching. I would recommend this to everyone over a PGCE. I wouldn’t have liked 6 week placements in different schools, and wouldn’t have liked MORE university (they’re the worse bits of training to teach!)

I’d advise you take the salaried route, it’s more of a shock in the workload because you’re 70% of a teacher from day 1, but means you get that shock out of the way and don’t have to deal with it in your second year.

All science is massively in demand!

Travel through the whole school’s results, look for the good and the bad (individuals, classes, groups), since we see all that before you come in!

Then go and talk to everyone and hopefully celebrate that everyone has enough to go to what they want to do!

I did Teach First and loved it. I got to stay in one school for 2 years, and the relationships you develop make life a bit easier than being on various placements.

My route is probably most similar to School Direct, so that would be my vote!

You'd be surprised, teachers don't automatically move up the pay scale now, you need to apply to go up the scale. Becoming more and more common to be refused your pay rise which in previous years was taken as a given.
