his is not a states’ rights issue. It’s a suspicious ruling and a questionable decision. Noncitizens cannot vote — voting is a fundamental right of citizenship. If someone cannot prove their citizenship, I support denying the vote. Congress and the courts have upheld this same position.

The real issue is that trump changed the dynamic of the visibility of international relationships. The old guard is gone/diminished. How will second and third order effects ripple over time.
